Darrell Bunch Obituary

Darrell Porter Bunch, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Born in Nelson County, Ky on November 28, 1942; he was the son of the late Guy Porter and Dorothy Dadisman Bunch. Darrell was from Chaplin, KY and graduated from Bloomfield High School. He worked for L&N Railroad as a pipe fitter. He was a member of the Fairmount Church of Christ. Darrell loved farming, hunting, fishing, but most importantly his family; he never missed any event that the children and grandchildren had. Darrell is survived by his wife, Shirley Coulter Bunch; his daughters, Debbie Bunch, Terri (Joe) Milam and Shawna (Jimmy) Fitzpatrick; sister, Glenna Simpson; Grandchildren, Victoria Coots, Courtney Milam, Jerry Milam, Alex Robinson, Madison Burgin, Isaiah Fitzpatrick, Isabella Fitzpatrick, Isaac Fitzpatrick, Scott Bunch, Myla Bunch, and Silas Bunch; Great-Grandchildren, Emma Milam, Ila Milam, Cora Milam, Cooper Coots, and Luka Coots; and nephews, Doug and Greg Simpson. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2023 at Saffell House Funeral Home at 2 p. m. with visitation preceding from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. . Honorary Pallbearers will be D. L. Chowning, Dustin Chowning, Woody Adams, Garry Scott, Randy Stewart, Wayne Colvin, Tracy Waldridge, John Childress, Chris Dillon, Mike Wilson, Martin Gregory, Harold Foley, Paul Cox, Kim Larkin, Tommy Yankey, Sierra Stanton, Brandy Umbel, Dicky Wilder, and Jimmy Lawson.
