Daphen Young Obituary

GENEVA- Daphen Young, 45, was taken by the Lord peacefully on Sat. (April 22, 2023), at home, with her family by her side, after a long battle with cancer. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p. m. Fri. (April 28), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A service will be held at 3 p. m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to the U of R Hospice and Home Healthcare of Ontario County. Daphen was born on Sept. 27, 1977. She loved to travel, sight-seeing for hawks, getting her Dunkin Donuts coffee every morning, shopping at T. J. Maxx and of course if you knew her, you would know that she loved scratch-off tickets. Daphen would always win big! She will be missed dearly by her loving mother, daughters, son, grandchild, sister, boyfriend and friends. She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Jane Neve; children, Michael Waye, Kelsey (James Wright, Jr. )Young and Aleana (Malachi Cabrarra) Daniels; her partner, Richard Jackson; grandson, Malajhae Spann-Waye; nephews, Trevor Binns of Fla. , Seth Binns of MI, Owen and Dominic Hastings of Horseheads, NY; uncle, Ed Kloszewski of Geneva; sister, Mallory Field of Elmira, NY; dear friends, Pat and Leon Coon of Phelps, NY, Jerry and Earl of Bloomfield, NY and Rick Field of Elmira, NY; foster mother, Yvonne Pickart of Geneva. Daphen was predeceased by her sister, Melissa Young; aunt, Gail Seich of Long Island. We would like to thank the Geneva U of R Oncology for all they did for Daphen. Also, a special thanks to Karen Strickland from U of R Hospice and Home Healthcare, for all the love and care that she gave to Daphen and her family. We appreciate you all !
