Danny Michael Pappas, age 83 of Portage, IN passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019. He was born on June 21, 1935 in Gillespie, IL to Michael Dismones and Bess Louise (Meadows) Pappas. Danny is survived by his Son, Shawn (Talia) Pappas of Portage; brother, Kenneth Pappas; sisters in law, Linda Hogg, Gloria Kane; brother in law, Ronnie (Mary) Paul; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sheila (Paul) Pappas; his sisters, Irma Sue Walker, Sydney Neull, Sally Anne Pappas, Sandra Faye Loudermilk. Danny graduated from Trimble High School, Union City, TN. He loved bingo and going to the casino. Danny enjoyed watching westerns, Wheel of Fortune, and doing crossword puzzles. He loved nature, fishing, and walking his dog 'Wolfie'. Danny loved his family. He had a fun sense of humor and liked teasing the kids. Danny enjoyed going to church when he was able and loved the Lord. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will held Monday, April 29, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
