"Danny R. Miller Sr. , 65, of Alda passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Memorial services in Danny's honor will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 2 p. m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 p. m. until service time on Tuesday. Family has requested casual dress. Danny was born on February 1, 1958 in Grand Island, son of Alvin Peter and Arlene Helen (Bremer) Miller. He attended Grand Island Public Schools. On March 29, 1977 he married Pamela Birth. They made their home in the Grand Island area where they raised their three sons. Danny began his own lawn care business "Miller Lawn Mowing". He and Pam were also employed as custodians at Fonner Park during racing season. Danny enjoyed watching horse racing and even placing a few bets. He loved the outdoors and the open road. Fishing and camping were some of his favorite summer activities. He was an expert when it came to navigating maps and finding the best route. Classic cars and attend car shows, always keeping an eye out for a '57 Chevy or '60 Chevy Pickup. He adored his family and was known for his subtle humor. He is survived by his wife, Pam of Alda; sons, Danny R. Miller Jr. (Lacy Dahlke), Shawn Miller and fiance, Bridget Uribe, and Dusty (Kendra) Miller; grandson, Kylar; step-granddaughter, Madison "Maddy" Uribe, and one on the way; step-children, Desiree Hatfield and Austin Latimer; brother, Darrell (Cathy) Miller of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Nancy (Bud) Petzoldt of Grand Island; dog, Chico; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jerry Miller and nephew, Buddy Petzoldt. "

Jessie J. Saner "Jo", 87, of Alda, NE passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE. Jessie's wishes were to be cremated. Services will be at a later date. She was born April 7, 1935 in Elsmere, NE to Alvin and Florence Standlea. In 1936 the family moved to Halsey, NE where she worked for Jacko Family at just 10 years old. She worked at Hebb Cafe in Halsey before high school and after school so she could buy medicine for her parents. She also worked for Halsey Reserve. After high school she attended the University of Nebraska Kearney to get her teaching degree. After college she taught Elsmere grade school 1st - 8th grade. In 1954 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Saner. She worked for Ken's uncle on the ranch for 4 years. The couple moved to Greeley, CO where she worked at a cafe for 2 years. They eventually moved back to Nebraska. Ken worked for a construction company and Jo sold Rex Air Vacuum Cleaners. The couple met a lot of people. Jo worked for herself doing income taxes from 1971 until 2019 when she retired. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ken; two sons, Terry and Ron Saner; two grandchildren, Bryan and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Inara and Fenrir. "Margaret L. "Marge" Lybarger, age 86, of Genoa formerly of Alda, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Genoa Long-term Care Center. Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00am at the Alda United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Iringo officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Condolences can be left at www. giallfaiths. com. Marge was born September 4, 1936 in Scotia, NE to Leo and Beatrice Murphy. She grew up in Elyria and Kearney. On July 12, 1953 she was united in marriage to Cecil Lybarger. Following their marriage, they lived in Florida, Nebraska and New Mexico, before settling in Alda. She worked for Leon's and Triad in Alda. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marge was also an honorary mother to Cheryl Iwanski and family. she loved camping and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed taking care of her garden, painting, crafts and making sure all the wildlife in her yard were fed. She was a skilled seamstress and she made and fixed many things over the years. She was always busy doing something, whether it was whipping up a delicious meal or cleaning. Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Jr. and Valerie Lybarger and daughter, Peggy Lybarger, all of Grand Island; grandson, Derek Lybarger of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter and her husband, Teresa (Lybarger) and Tim Muckey of Grand Island; great granddaughter, Amelia Margaret Muckey; sisters, Shirley Peters and Dory Worth and brother in-law, Ivan Lybarger of Kearney. Donald A. Duncan, 73 of Alda, NE passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Interment will follow at Prairie Center Cemetery at Haven's Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p. m. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Donald A. Duncan was born January 29, 1948 in Kearney, Nebraska to William and Viola ( Godown) Duncan. Don was raised in Kearney and received his education from Kearney High School, graduating with the class of 1966. Don attended Kearney State College where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business in 1971. On January 29, 1971, Don was united in marriage to Sandra Stull at the Faith United Methodist Church in Kearney. To this union two children were blessed. Don worked as an accountant at Monarch Industries and at T & E Cattle for many years. He later worked at U-Save Foods and Cabela's, retiring in 2010. Don was involved in numerous activities, including 4-H and FFA. He was an avid sports fan always cheering on the Huskers and St. Louis Cardinals. Don enjoyed rodeos and attending many of his grandchildren's sporting events. Most of all, Don loved time spent with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandy Duncan of Alda; sons, Rob Duncan of Fremont and Chris Duncan of Lincoln; grandchildren, Riley, Carter and Ian Duncan; brother, Ron Duncan of Cairo, NE; sister, Jolene Schroer and husband, Rod of Kearney; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
