Daniel Dee Troutt passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Hugo, Oklahoma at the age of 63. Dee Troutt was born on April 16, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Bobby Gene and Hermalee Voncille (Zachary) Troutt. While Dee was born in Arizona, he spent most of his life in Texas where he went to Berkner Highschool in Richardson. It was there he met his best friend, Russ Reckner and formed a life-long bond. Dee had a successful career working in sales with various companies for 40+ years. He was always willing to tell a joke and had a story for almost any occasion, he loved being with people. Dee was a man of faith, and raised his children in the Lord, attending Richardson East Church of Christ while in Texas. When his three boys and two daughters were growing up, Dee was an active father and created many happy childhood memories. He spent many years coaching and cheering the boys through baseball seasons and going to dance recitals. He was excellent with babies and loved having his grandchildren. As the children got older, he loved to take them to the lease and teach them to hunt and shoot, a pastime he would embark on as much as time would allow. It had always been Dee's dream to live in Oklahoma, own land, a horse and some dogs. He was able to fulfill this dream in 2022, retiring to Hugo, OK. There he had two dogs, Buck and Bullet, and a horse named Redman. Dee spent his time fishing, hunting and watching old westerns. While Dee fulfilled his dream of being a cowboy in Oklahoma, it was being with his best friends and family that brought him the most joy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hermalee Troutt. Daniel is survived by his five children, Valerie Lynn Mastalka (husband Matt), Joshua Gene Troutt, Travis Allen Troutt (wife Hanna), Aaron Woods Troutt (wife Stephanie), and Gracen Leigh Troutt; mother of his children, Karen Troutt; three grandchildren, Macy and Emily Mastalka, Eliza Troutt; siblings, Cindi Von Thun, Kenny Troutt, Lisa Gordon; father, Bobby Gene Troutt. Brenda Gail Parks, 75, was born on October 19, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferguson and Mary Bishop; husband, Larry Parks; son, Kelly Samuels; brother, Boby Bishop and sister, Ann Andes. Brenda lived in the Hugo community for 40 years. She married the love of her life, Larry Parks, in July of 1977, in Hugo, OK. Brenda went by several names including mom and her favorite, granny. She was a crafter, candy maker and baker. She specialized in all things gooey, yummy, and bad for your health. Never one to concentrate on aesthetics, her food was ugly but delicious. Her pies might be runny or her cakes lopsided, but the taste would have you coming back for seconds and thirds. Her love language was food and if she liked you, she would make you homemade bread, cookies, fried pies and even popcorn cooked over the stove in a pot and if she didn't like you, she would still make you something and talk about you later. She was also a crafty person who could make just about anything we asked her to make. Her crafts included everything from a full blue bird costume to a baby skunk and so many more. Brenda loved spending time with her family, playing games or watching a movie and rarely a weekend went by that she wasn't doing one or the other with us. She was also a prolific computer game player and led many a raid in her World of Warcraft clans. She played with people all over the United States, doubtful that many knew they were being led by a 75-year-old woman sitting in her kitchen with her little doggie at her feet. There was no one as unique, multitalented, or family oriented as Brenda Parks. She loved her family above all else and would spend her time telling every cashier/store worker all about her kids or grandkids' latest accomplishments. The world is already a little less with her gone and our family is a little less complete with her absence. Brenda is survived by her son, Barry Samuels; daughter, Chris Maxwell Mosley and husband, Donald; sister, Pat Woodall; grandchildren, Chancellor Maxwell, Chase Maxwell, Chelsea Maxwell, along with a host of other, friends, family and loved ones.Show more
