Daniel Toothman Obituary

Daniel J. Toothman, 56 of Hinton, stepped over into his Heavenly home on Monday May 8, 2023 following a brief illness. He was the 7th child and youngest son of the late Jay H. and Nellie V. Smith Toothman formerly of Lumberport, WV. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on February 28th, 1967. Daniel was a roofing contractor and enjoyed fishing and attending church with his sister and her family at the Princeton Lifeline Church of God in Princeton, WV. Daniel is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gloria Garrison Toothman of Wheeling, WV; also survived by 3 sisters, Judi Miller and the late Theodore Miller of Johnstown, PA, Dianna Carroll (Charles) of Hinton, WV and Kimberly Beverlin of Paden City, WV; two brothers, Michael Toothman (Linda) of St. Mary's, WV and Mark Toothman (Ranette) of Bridgeport, WV; several nieces and nephews with his special nephew, Chad Carroll of Hinton also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Patrick Toothman of Grafton, WV and a close nephew, Daniel L. Carroll. Daniel will be greatly missed by many and his contagious laugh will linger in the hearts of those who loved him forever. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. on Thursday May 11, 2023 at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton. A service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Bale, Pastor of Hinton Lifeline Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery on Elk Knob Road in Hinton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 in Daniels name.
