Daniel Joergensen Obituary

Mr. Joergensen worked as a steam turbine repair specialist for 20 years and as a welding tech teacher. He was a United States Navy Vietnam veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the VFW riders, the Knights of Columbus Council #1028, and the Vietnam Vets Chapter 269. Danny was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, an avid golfer, and crew chief of a dirt racing team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Agnes, nee Murphy, Joergensen; a stepdaughter, Lisa Patterson; and many brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Judith, nee Hoffmann, Joergensen, whom he married on August 15, 1986; two daughters, Robin Joergensen and Kimberlie Joergensen; a stepdaughter, Sonya Edmondson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Joergensen, Jr; and nieces and nephews. Monday, May 15, 2023, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10:30 a. m. burial with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
