Anne Lucille (Eversman) Pranger, 80, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023. She was born Aug. 7, 1943, to George Eversman Jr. , and Jean (Benton) Eversman. She married the love of her life, Leslie Joe Pranger, on Sept. 26, 1964. They were married 57 years before he preceded her in death. Anne, as she was known to all, was passionate in her love for God, her husband, Joe, and her family. She was the co-founder of A New and Living Way Inc. , a bible teacher, missionary and homemaker. As a mother and grandmother, she truly was the keeper of the Cheerios. She raised six children into adulthood and gained six more through marriage. Multiple sons and daughters were grafted in through her mentorship and prayer. Anne was an accomplished pianist, played for Women's Aglow and played for more than 30 years at New Hope Christian Center, accompanied by Anita Diehl on the organ. Anne's hobbies were forever family related. She spent hours beating her grandchildren at Skipbo and reading story after story to the little ones on her lap. She was known best for her chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon coffee cake. Everyone knew when you came to Grandma's you would be greeted with love and affection. She delighted in celebrating monthly Pranger birthdays and holidays through cards and gift giving. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Holiday decorations from years gone by and handmade ornaments by children and grandchildren filled her home creating the most magical atmosphere. Anne was originally a city girl, from Greenhills, Ohio, but raised in downtown Fort Wayne. She brought sophistication to her ordinary, life on the farm. Rarely was she found without her hair curled or make-up and nails done. She was trendy in fashion and modeled femininity to her daughters and granddaughters in the most masculine of places. She was notorious for hearing from God. She was an avid woman of the Bible and loved the Scripture. She taught years of women's Bible studies and co-taught with Joe in home groups and conferences, locally and around the world. Spending hours of her day practicing the presence of God, while folding laundry and caring for her family and friends, Anne became seasoned in hearing from heaven. If you needed a word from the Lord, Anne had one and she was often accurate.
