The gathering of family and friends, will be held on 11:00 A. M. to 12:00 P. M. , at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, Louisiana, on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Daniel William Dick, age 61, passed suddenly on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Dan was born August 4, 1962, to the late William (Bill) and Patricia Enright Dick in Appleton, Wisconsin. Dan is survived by his wife, Jolinda Huggins Dick (Calhoun LA); son, Ronnie Kinard (Honey Grove, TX); grandchildren, Carrie (John Michael) Stalling (Baton Rouge, LA), Kameryn Kinard, and Kynlie Kinard (Dodd City, TX); brothers, Michael (Linda) Dick (Middletown, CT), and David Dick (Minneapolis, MN); sister, Joan Dick (San Diego, CA); as well as nieces and nephews. Dan grew up in a cottage on Firelane 13 in Menasha, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Winnebago. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1980, and went on to attend Michigan Tech University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Dan met Jolinda in 1991, while working at Kimberly Clark in Paris, Texas, and they were engaged in May of 1992, in Maui, Hawaii while visiting Jo’s brother, who was a Marine stationed there. They were married September 12th of 1992, in New Mexico. Dan continued working for Kimberly Clark for over two decades in Paris, TX, Neenah, WI, and Conway, AR, before moving to West Monroe, Louisiana, where he worked for the last 16 years at Graphic Packaging. Dan lived his life to the fullest and always enjoyed picking up new hobbies and exploring the outdoors. Never a stranger to anyone, Dan had many friends wherever he was. While in Wisconsin, Dan and Jolinda were involved in a skeet shooting league with friends and he enjoyed attending the rodeos in the area. He and Jolinda traveled throughout the United States in their RV or camper with their grandchildren. He traveled to Canada, Kansas, and New Mexico for numerous hunting trips and enjoyed spending time with his family on the dock fishing and swimming behind their house in West Monroe, Louisiana. Dan will be dearly missed by all.

Lawson Lee Mason, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was born on February 26, 1941, in Goosecreek, Texas. Lawson's spirit touched the lives of those around, and his memory will forever be cherished. Lawson led a fulfilling career as a land surveyor. His dedication to his work and attention to detail earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients. Through his profession, he played an instrumental role in shaping the landscape of the areas he surveyed. Outside of work, Lawson had a passion for adventure. He enjoyed traveling to 48 states, exploring new places with his beloved wife Mary Ann Jones Mason by his side. They spent countless hours camping and fishing together, he loved to go hunting and fishing. He was always searching for the perfect spot where they could relish nature's beauty. His adventurous spirit inspired those around him to embrace life's journeys with enthusiasm and an open heart. However, it was Lawson's unwavering love for his family that truly defined him. He adored his wife, Mary Ann and shared an unbreakable bond with her for an incredible 62 years. Their marriage was a testament to their profound commitment and deep love for one another. Lawson was also a devoted father to his son, Jeff Mason and daughter, Paula Towns and her husband, Buddy. He nurtured their dreams and instilled in them the values of love, resilience, and hard work. As a grandfather to Cristin Barrios and her husband, Brent, Justin Calhoun, Drew Towns, Valerie Mason, Garret Towns and his wife, Carla, and Spencer Towns; great grandchildren, Ethan, Brice, Cohyn, Ava, and Roman. Lawson showered them with kindness and wisdom. His presence meant the world to each of them. In addition to his immediate family members mentioned above, Lawson is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Mary Ann Jones Mason; father, Elmer Lee Mason; mother, Mae Etta Adams Mason; brother, Melvin Mason and his wife, Ann, sisters Wanda Walling and her husband, Harold, and Donnie Easley and her husband, Wade. Their bond was unbreakable, and Lawson cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. As we mourn the loss of Lawson Lee Mason, let us also celebrate the beautiful memories he has left behind. Jonathan Blaine Duncan, a loving father and passionate man, was born on October 2, 1956, in Bastrop, LA, and passed away on November 29, 2023, at his residence in West Monroe, LA. Jonathan touched the lives of many with his warm-hearted nature and kind soul. His career spanned over 30 years at Entergy before retiring. His dedication and hard work were admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Colleagues remember him as a reliable and valuable team member who never shied away from going the extra mile. Jonathan's vibrant personality was contagious to all who crossed his path. With a great sense of humor and an ever-present smile on his face, he brought joy to every gathering. He was known for his unwavering love and care towards others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. In his free time, Jonathan indulged in various hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. His love for Natchez led him to purchase a house there so that he could spend more time with his friends Under the Hill. Jonathan had a great passion for riding motorcycles, which he considered a thrilling and exciting experience. His passion for riding grew stronger with each ride. Additionally, Jonathan had a deep passion for classic cars and took great pride in showcasing his meticulously maintained Blazer at car shows. Growing up at the Bastrop Airport, where his father worked as a manager, awakened Jonathan's fascination with planes and flying. These passions were ingrained in him from an early age. Above all else, Jonathan cherished spending time with his precious grandchildren. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being able to create lasting memories with them. Their laughter filled his heart with immeasurable joy, showcasing just how much love he had for each one of them. Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Duncan, and his sons, Harrison Scott Duncan and Christopher Jon Duncan, and wife, Ashton Paige Duncan; among those mourning his loss are Marshall Glenn Duncan and Mitchell Blaine Duncan, his beloved grandsons. Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel Duncan, as well as his twin brother, Ronald Duncan. Although their physical presence is deeply missed, their spirits will forever live on in Jonathan's heart. Reverend John David Kennedy, age 62, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his home in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was one of nine children. Father Kennedy was born on January 10, 1961, to the late Wade H. Kennedy, Sr. , and the late Beverly Rose Phillips Kennedy. Upon graduating from St. Frederick High School, Monroe, Louisiana, Father Kennedy attended Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana, and received a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor degree in geography. Following graduation, he began employment with State Farm Insurance in Lafayette, Louisiana. Father Kennedy had a great sense of humor and was a great conversationalist who could carry on conversation for hours. He loved studying the weather and being a Meteorologist. He also was a huge history buff and enjoyed being out in the country and his cowboy boots. Fr. Kennedy is preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Beverly Kennedy; siblings, James Wade Kennedy, Pauline Patrice Kennedy, Elizabeth Ann Kennedy, and Wade Huel Kennedy, Jr. Survivors include his sisters, Beverly Kennedy Martin, Rose Kennedy, Kathryn Kennedy, and Anita Susan Hall and husband, Todd; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Sanderson, Ronnie Martin, Justin Martin, Kaitlin Tarver, Carter Sutton, Bradley Massingill, Sara Bruce, Melissa Purvis, Michael Kennedy, Courtney Astranti, and Kendra Roy. In 1987, Father Kennedy began seminary studies at Notre Dame Seminary, New Orleans, Louisiana. He was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic Church on June 26, 1993, at the age of 32 by Most Reverend William B. Friend in St. Mary of the Pines Cathedral Pro-tem, Shreveport, Louisiana. Following his priestly ordination, Father Kennedy served in many church parishes throughout the Diocese of Shreveport, namely: Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Shreveport; the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, Shreveport; St. Joseph Church, Zwolle; Christ the King Church, Bossier City; St. Matthew Church, Monroe; Our Lady of Fatima Church, Monroe, and its mission, St. Lawrence Church, Swartz; Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, Monroe, and St. Joseph Church, Bastrop. He served as chaplain at St. Francis Medical Center, and St. Frederick High School, in Monroe, as well as campus minister at the former Northeast Louisiana University and currently the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Father Kennedy medically retired from active ministry on May 31, 2006. Funeral services honoring the life of Father John D. Kennedy will be held at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Monroe, on Thursday, November 30, 2023. A visitation will be held in the parish church from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM; followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in the Kennedy Family Mausoleum, 623 U. S. Highway 80, Monroe. M. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. Yvette was born in New Brunswick, Canada on September 13, 1945 to Ted and Mary Babineau and passed away on November 22, 2023. Throughout her entire life, Yvette drew strength and inspiration from her faith. Despite facing numerous challenges in her life, Yvette remained positive and optimistic. She always looked on the bright side and had a smile on her face. "Nonnie" had a passion for helping, serving, and giving to those around her. She was a true example of selflessness. Yvette was a member of First Baptist church of West Monroe, LA, serving in the Church and choir for over 50 years. She was a faithful worker at Century Link for 50 years and loved all her coworkers. Her loyalty overflowed into her friendships through her hospitality and cooking for others. While we will miss Nonnie dearly, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through countless lives she touched and how she put family above all else. Her unwavering faith, her belief in the power of positivity, boundless love, and her dedication to giving back to others will always be remembered. Mrs. Barbara Lynn Wiggins was born on April 19, 1941, in Haynesville, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 18, 2023, at her residence in West Monroe, Louisiana. Barbara's life was filled with love and joy. She cherished her 61-year-long marriage to the love of her life, Bert Wiggins, and embraced her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a teacher for thirty-one years before retiring. Mrs. Wiggins also found fulfillment in her membership with Delta Zeta and KKI teacher sorority, as well as her involvement in a life group at First West Church. Everywhere she went, Barbara brought positivity and warmth, enjoying herself and spreading happiness. Family gatherings, traveling adventures, playing bridge with friends, and decorating for holidays were among her favorite activities. Despite being an only child, Barbara seamlessly merged into her large family, finding her place, and embracing the connections she formed. Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee and Vena Warden Bright.
