Russell Neal Trainer1938-2024 Princeton, MO: Russell Neal Trainer, 85, Princeton, MO passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at a Trenton, MO nursing home. He was born on November 6, 1938, in Yakima, Washington, the son of Orville Lynn, Sr., and Mary Emma (Pickett) Trainer. On April 29, 2017, he married Karen Ann Rudolph. She survives of the home. Russell was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1955 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Princeton VFW Post #7159, the American Legion, and the First Christian Church of Princeton. He also loved studying genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dean and Orville Lynn Trainer and his second wife, Billie Marie Trainer. In addition to his wife, Russell is survived by his sons, Russell Paul Trainer, Kansas City, MO and Andy Drew Trainer, Livingston, TX; daughter, Sondi Deanne Wolken, Joplin, MO; sisters, Linda Kay (Galen) Lowrey, Laredo, MO; grandsons, Michael and Jessie Trainer, Dane Hubbard, Joseph Wolken; granddaughters, Karen Hubbard, Amy and Hannah Dowling; and great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Devin, and Aidan Dobson. Russell has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673. "Michael Dale McCracken Michael Dale McCracken, age 71, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, and a former resident of Galt, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri. Michael was born the son of Dale L. and Virginia (Goins) McCracken on September 26, 1952, in Trenton, Missouri. He was a 1971 graduate of Trenton High School. He worked as a med tech for Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments for many years. He also worked as a manager of a Kansas City Pizza Hut, Belle’s Café and he restocked vending machines for Peyton Vending. Michael loved listening to music, and had a wonderful record collection. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and Matlock. Survivors include his friends, Wanda Gastineau of Trenton, Missouri and Rick Tunnell and Tony Williams, both of Galt, Missouri; his cousin, Merle King and husband, Eddie, of Trenton, Missouri. He is also survived by several other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Glen F. and Jelia (Beckner) McCracken; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Lillie Viola (Warner) Goins. Cremation was held. A memorial service and a private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Green Hills Animal Shelter and/or Boyers Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1992. John worked maintaining lawns and was a member of the Coon Creek Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lester, Arthur, James, and Gilbert Hughes and sisters, Loma Hickman and Elizabeth Kirk. John is survived by his brother, Marion Hughes, Trenton, MO; sisters, Mary Ann Allen, St. Charles, MO, Jessie Beckwith and Joyce Zinn both of Topeka, KS and several nieces and nephews. He was well-known throughout the Trenton area and worked at various careers during his lifetime. . . Russell Dale Roberts, a 91 year old resident of Trenton, MO passed away December 7th, 2023 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 p. m. at the First Christian Church. A family visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to First Christian Church and left or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. Russell Dale Roberts was born on April 1st 1932 in Silvis, IL to Kenneth and Opal Griffin Roberts. He attended and graduated from Trenton High School. Russell was a lifelong Grundy County farmer. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He built many pieces that are treasured by his family. He enjoyed trail riding with family and friends and attended horse shows and rodeos. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was married to Beverly Renfro Whitaker in January of 1972 and she survives of the home. Russell is survived by his wife Beverly of the home, son Kenny Roberts (Andrea), daughter Brenda Smith, daughter in law Martha Roberts, stepson David Whitaker (Kari), all of Trenton, Missouri. He is also survived by sisters Joetha Harris and Karen Brandstetter (Karl). He is also survived by grandchildren; Tosha Roberts (Boo), Christopher Smith, Jeffry Smith (Jesse), Tia Griffin, Tara Hoffman (Eric), Tenna Mack (Thomas), Avery Bailey (Jason), Ashten McCarter (Kail), and Lexi Whitaker, along with 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Margaret Gale (Maggie) Bush, 79, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 1:00 A. M. , Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. , Friday, December 8, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. Her body will be cremated after the service. Family visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M. at the mortuary. Memorials to the Greens Hills Animal Shelter and may be left with the mortuary. Mrs. Bush was born February 7, 1944 at Greensboro, North Carolina the daughter of Sam and Margaret Freeman Bolling. She was one of two children. After graduating from college with an English Major, she joined the Marine Corps. She completed boot camp in Guanaco, VA earning top recruit. She was assigned as a reporter to the Marines. Maggie was given a choice of Vietnam, Japan, or Okinawa and she choose, Okinawa. She operated Maggie's Mess for several years and also was co-owner of Trenton Cinema. On June 3, 1967 she was married to James D. Bush at Okinawa. Her survivors include her husband Jim of the home; one daughter Tammy Maryanne Martucci, Trenton, Missouri; three brothers David Bolling and wife Terry, Oak Ridge, North Carolina, Jim Bolling and wife Janice, Summerfield, North Carolina, Rob Bolling and wife Amber, Summerfied, North Carolina; one sister-in-law Linda Langely, Rock Hills, South Carolina.
