It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Brazil Jr. at Grand River Hospital - Freeport Campus after a brief battle with cancer in his 69th year (October 19th 1954 to October 4 2023). Predeceased by his parents Sadie and Dan Brazil, Twin Brother Bart, Sister Alice, Brother Jim. He is survived by his siblings; Howard (Wendy), Betty Rose (Leo), Marie Bellissimo (Tony) Raymond, and sisters-in-law Mary Brazil, Carol Brazil, and many nieces and nephews. Dan was an amateur local comedian (half of the Brazil Brothers) who loved to make people laugh. He was an avid Leafs and Blue Jays fan. The family would like to thank Freeport Mental Health Caregivers for their care of Dan over the past year. Cremation has taken place, to be followed by a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association are greatly appreciated.

Santa Maria Pellegrino (nee Mastrolia) Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 in her 94th year with family at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Tommaso (2012) and by her siblings Vincenzo, Luigia, Giuseppa, Giorgio and Immacolata who are all now united again. She will be missed by her children Vincenzo (Angela), Adriana (Frank) Clifford, Angelo (Uura), Maria (Clem) Caron. Also missed by her youngest sister Severina (Antonio), sister-in-law Lina, as well as many nephews and nieces in Italy. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Amanda (Jeffrey), Nicholas, Mark, John (Dawn), Michael, Steven, Jaakob, Giordan, Thomas (Jahail), Alexander, and great-grandchildren Nathan, Dominic and Isla. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Santa was a quiet, caring, devout person happy to be in her home surrounded by family. Born in southern Italy she married and followed her heart to Canada where she made a home and lovingly raised her family with her husband Tommaso. She made the perfect tomato sauce, fritelle, crostoli, pitule and many more foods from southern Italy. She liked her vegetable garden and massive San Marzano tomatoes, Cicoria, Rapini and lampascioni that she grew annually. She enjoyed her final years at Chartwell Retirement home experiencing many new activities and making new friends. She loved to play and win at Bingo and rarely missed the morning exercise class. Family and Friends will be received at the T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 10-11am. The funeral service will take place at 11am in the funeral home, followed by a reception. Entombment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. It is with great sadness that the family of Maryanne (nee Fergusson) announce her passing on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Maryanne will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Harry; children Scott (Jess) Cook, Karrie (Brett) Minken, step daughter Christine (Tim) Carver; Grandson Ben Cook, step grandchildren Mark Homeniuk, Alexander and Chole Carver; Brother Brian (Cindy) Fergusson; niece Jennifer (David) Gatto, nephew Tim Fergusson, and numerous other family members. Maryanne was predeceased by her parents George and Rosemary (Willoughby) Fergusson; in-laws Harry Sr and Caroline Homeniuk, Patricia Schmidt, Mike Homeniuk and step daughter Karen (Homeniuk) Rowe. Maryanne was born and raised in Cambridge (Galt). Maryanne & Harry were married in 1990 and spent 33 wonderful years together. Maryanne enjoyed assigning referees for Cambridge Referee Association for over 30 years and was an active member of Westside Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews St. , Cambridge on Thursday, November 16th from 2:00 - 4:00 p. m.
