Anthony Jacob, age 40 of Spearfish, died Wednesday January 24, 2024 at his home, following a brief illness. Anthony’s life will be celebrated 10am Monday, February 5, 2024 at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Spearfish. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery in New Rockford, North Dakota. Funeral arrangements are with Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Friend may leave written condolences online at: www.LeveringtonFH.com Anthony Jacob was born at New Rockford, ND on May 18th, 1983. He was the son of Alan Omoth and Jena Laber. Anthony spent most of his younger years in Devils Lake, ND, graduated from Devils Lake High School in 2001, and continued to live there until 2022. Anthony always enjoyed animals, fishing, being outdoors, and time with his friends. He lived at the Sullivan farm where he worked with his friend, Tee. Later, Anthony helped Tee’s dad, Larry Sullivan, before leaving Devils Lake. Anthony loved spending time with his grandparents and extended family. Anthony loved all the special time he spent with his grandparents, Oliver and Deloris Omoth on the family farm and had many good memories with them. Anthony also enjoyed the time he spent with his other grandparents, Joe and Mavis Laber and Harold and Kathryn Stroklund. In 2022, Anthony moved to Spearfish, SD, where his mom, Jena Laber lived. While in Spearfish, Anthony loved working at both Culver’s and Walmart and was employed with both at the time of his passing. Anthony fell in love with South Dakota and the Black Hills and enjoyed going on trips to explore the area. During his time in South Dakota, he was also guided by another mentor, Lloyd Boisjolie, whom Anthony met through his mom. Anthony loved working on his truck and was proud of himself having done all of the work to get it running smoothly. He loved quiet times at his apartment and spending time with his cat, Ringo. Always a fan of football, Anthony was a fan of the Green Bay Packers. Anthony was dearly loved by so many. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. Anthony is survived by his dad Alan (Trish) Omoth of Spearfish and his mom, Jena Laber of Spearfish, who loved him dearly. He was also blessed to have wonderful fathers in Alan (JoAnne) Stroklund of West Point Iowa, and Mark Everson of Devils Lake ND. Together, Anthony’s parents all played a role in making him the wonderful, hard-working, kind, loving, and compassionate man that he had become. Other family members include: Fred and Judy Bott, Mandan, ND, Randy and Linda Laber, Bismarck, ND. Gary Laber and Kris Bjelde, Fargo, ND. He shared his childhood with his siblings: brother, Adam Stroklund, half siblings, Kim Gifford (Chad), Kris Stroklund, Jessica Everson (Troy), Austin Everson (McKenzie), and Melanie Faith Flippin. Allen F. Ketterling, “Hoss”, was born June 2nd, 1934, to Sam and Mattie Ketterling in Eckley, Colorado. Due to his mother’s health he was raised by his grandparents, Bert and Vinnie Starling. He passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the age of 89. On June 5, 1955, he married Jane Harling and two children were born to this union, Terry and Debra. They later divorced.In 1960, Al built a pipe laying machine that was used in oil fields where he was foreman at that time. In 1986, he converted the pipe laying machine to a tire cutting machine which he used at the Campbell County Landfill.Allen did many jobs in his life: railroad, oilfield, paper factory and plumbing. He was an honest, caring, generous man.On April 11, 2005, he married Dorothy Neugebauer in Moorcroft. He enjoyed collecting coins and having coffee with his friends and pulling tricks on family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Margie Lacefield, Denver, CO. His children, Terry and Debra. His stepchildren: Susan and Jack Clary of Gillette, WY. Mark and Wendy Neugebauer of Pine Haven, WY. Richard and Debbie Neugebauer of Gering, NE. Randall and Lea of Bowie, MD. Fred and Mitzie Neugebauer of Gillette, WY. 13 step grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Moorcroft, WY. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 4,2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Moorcroft, WY. The inurnment will take place at a later date.Cremation arrangements were under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapels of Sundance, WY and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish, SD.

Zachariah William Warnock, 35, of Spearfish, SD, passed away at his home in Spearfish on February 16, 2024.Zach was born on September 20, 1988 sharing this birthday with his grandmother, Brenda Wolfe. He was born to Mark Warnock and Maureen Howard in Sioux City, Iowa.He is survived by his son, Lane Warnock, who also shares a birthday with Zach and Great-Grandma Brenda; and Lane's mother, Julie Wermers, and her son, Riley Wermers, all of Spearfish; his parents, Mark and Shelly Warnock of Prior Lake, MN; Maureen Howard of Hopkinton, MA; his sister and her husband, Ali and AJ Robinson of Milford, MA; his paternal grandmother, Brenda Wolfe of South Sioux City, NE; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he’s made all over the country.Zach spent his younger years in South Sioux City, NE, and Elk Point, SD. In 2002 family relocated to Spearfish where he spent the remainder of his life. Zach’s love of music was known to anyone who knew him, as he always had his guitar in tow. In fact, when Lane was a toddler, Zach made sure that Lane had his own guitar. Nothing made Zach happier than watching Lane play it. Zach loved going to concerts, and every chance he had, he would attempt to get backstage to meet the band. In his high school years, he attended Youth Group at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Zach and Ali both went to a youth group retreat with them to San Antonio, TX. He also attended Young Life in Rapid City where he felt so welcomed. In October 2022, Zach made it to Boston to help his sister celebrate her wedding. It was such a beautiful day, we danced into the night, and Zach couldn’t have been happier to be with his family and friends.Zach is predeceased by Connie Howard, maternal grandmother; Bill Warnock, paternal grandfather; and Bob Howard, maternal grandfather. Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. The family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 am. Jane Katherine (Holmlund) Carlstrom, 99, a longtime resident of Spearfish, SD passed away on February 12, 2024.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Spearfish. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.Jane was born July 16, 1924, in Minneapolis, MN to Marvin and Lydia (Jatko) Holmlund. The family moved to South Dakota, where she attended school in Nemo, before graduating from Spearfish High School in 1942, and then attended Black Hills Teachers College.She married William (Bill) Andrew Carlstrom on April 4, 1943, and had six children, twelve grandchildren (all of whom were her “favorite”), eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She and Bill were married for 61 years and operated a Grade A dairy for 43 years. She continued living on the farm until a recent hospitalization.Jane has been described as a “community icon.” She worked at the telephone company, extension office, and a dentist’s office, before working at the Queen City Mail, later Black Hills Pioneer, for over seventy years. She retired at the age of 95. She volunteered as a 4H Leader, in the American Cancer Society, and the Heritage Center. She was also active in Extension Club, Mothers Club, Republican Women, and the United Methodist Church, all while working alongside her husband on the family dairy farm. She enjoyed her family, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and knitting, and touched numerous lives with her kind, compassionate manner, and avid interest in others. She visited 48 states and was rarely still unless reading or watching Jeopardy. Surviving family includes two sons, Robert (Carmen) Carlstrom, Colorado Springs, CO, and Richard (Gwen) Carlstrom, Spearfish; four daughters, Linda Benning, Arlington, VA, Dee (Steve) Riss, Custer, SD, Arla (Bob) Larson, Spearfish, and Lana (Brad) Williams, Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren, Belinda Coulter, Chris Carlstrom, Brian Carlstrom, Keith Riss, Justin Riss, Wendy Crooks, Nick Larson, Melissa Currier, Trisha Marx, Brandon Williams, and Jordan Williams; and two brothers Bruce Holmlund, Delta, CO, and Jerry Holmlund, Rancho Mirage, CA.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, parents, Marvin and Lydia Holmlund, and grandson, Scott Benning.Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish.
