ORANGE- Dale Gregory Cope, 7/30/1961. He was 61 years young, after his battle against pancreatic cancer, he went to God on June 19th with his loving niece and sister by his side. He loved Spartan Races which he did many with his brother Lance and sister Brenda. Dale enjoyed his car detail shop, his best friend Ronnie and the many family gatherings. Dale was a spiritual man, a simple man, giving credit to the good in his life to God. He was a kind, caring spirit and he loved his nieces and nephews and had a special relationship with his grandnephew Damien. My brother was always there to help others. He enjoyed being goofy and silly, his nickname Duncle to the niece and nephews! I always have fond memories of how silly my Duncle was with his goofy faces and silly jokes, always over-reacting and playful! Those were the simple things that made his life full. He was the rock of my life. My morning coffee and evening tea. He was so appreciative of the family gathering around him in his time of need, especially brother Lance, brother Ed, Mom, Dad, Chris, Lori, Ronnie, Maria, Ricky and Valerie, all those who wrote letters and all the prayers from people. To his family, he wrote that this is not a death, just an ending of pain, and I think I suffered enough. I appreciate you all coming around me, pulling for me, I know it's difficult and not easy, but everybody dropped what they were doing and came. Dale felt at ease as he saw Grandma Martin and Mike Noonan in his room weeks before passing, and told me the feeling he got was that everything would be okay. Our precious Dale; brother, uncle, son, and friend will be missed dearly, but we know he was returned to spirit and we will meet again one day. There are no calling hours or formal services now. Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family. Guest book online at WWW. WITTYFUNERALHOME. COM To to the family or in memory of Dale G. Cope, please
