Randal Scott Peterman, 72, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his residence. Scott was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother with a friendly and kind nature. Scott was born on May 13, 1951, in Indiana, PA, the eldest child of the late Walter Dale Peterman and Martha Louise Plemons Peterman. The family soon relocated permanently to Sweetwater, TN, where Scott grew up and attended Tennessee Military Institute. He studied at Hiwassee College, then graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in advertising and later Webster University with a master's degree in marketing. Scott joined the Army in 1976 as an Infantry soldier and attended basic training at Fort Knox. He was stationed in South Korea, where he met the love of his life, Lana, whom he married in 1979. In 1999, they founded Peterman Realty, where he was currently employed. He had the gift of gab and enjoyed speaking to clients, friends, and people he encountered in his daily life, living up to the phrase "he never met a stranger.
