Cynthia Rajani, a mother, grandmother, scientist, artist, animal lover, and outdoor enthusiast, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2022 at her home in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. She was 69 years young. Cynthia was born October 25, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology in Medical Technology in 1976. She went on to earn post-graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Analytical Clinical Chemistry (M. S. ), and then from Marquette University – a Master of Science degree, and then a Ph. D. in Biochemistry. Cynthia had an impressive and varied professional career. She started her career working for hospitals in Milwaukee and Madison Wisconsin as a Medical Technologist. This job required considerable skill and judgment at a time when many tests in a hospital clinical chemistry lab were done manually. . . .
