Ms. Riley was born December 23, 1941, in Summerville, GA, to the late Louise Riley Hurley. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hurley. Survivors include her son, David Jones; daughter, Linda Gail Addison; a sister, Mildred Hurley; grandchildren, Freedom Starr Jones, Calvin Lawson; and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside and interment services for Ms. Riley will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at AMI Cemetery with Rev. Malcom Harris officiating. Darlene was of the Baptist faith, and a Caregiver employed with Rehma Home Care. She loved music, Lifetime movies, taking care of others, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her Husband; Jerry Allen Derryberry, Sister; Kathy Gray and Brother; Richard Campbell. Survivors include her Six Children; Larry (Felicia) Young, Angela Young, Daniel Young, Matthew (Crystal) Young, Samuel Young, and Danielle Young, five Siblings; Sammy Campbell, Shirley Sheffield, Patsy Woolridge, Charlene Brown, and Timmy Campbell, ten Grandchildren; Amber Bronson, Alexis Earwood, Halie Young, Kelcie Young, Kalie Young, Nickolaus Young, Jade and Charlie Myhan, Aiden and Aniyah Franklin, eleven Great Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family members and friends to cherish her memory. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory. Mrs. Arlene Fuson Moncrief, 74, of LaFayette, GA passed away January 16, 2024. Arlene was a graduate of Central High School and graduate of Dalton Junior College with her nursing degree. She served Chattanooga and the surrounding areas as an RN until her retirement. She loved living on the farm that she and her husband owned and taking care of her many cats. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie and Conger Fuson; siblings, Bill Fuson and Barbara Workman; and a great grandson, Matthew Erick Kvaltine. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 54 years, Michael Moncrief; children, Christopher (Carla) Bynum, Rebeka (Chris) Hawkins and Daniel (Julie) Moncrief; grandchildren, Justin Ritchie, Ericka Bynum, Liana Greene, Spencer Greene, Riley Hawkins, Connor Devlin and Justice Devlin; nephew Don Fuson; many other extended family members and her beloved cats. Mrs. Suttles was born on September 15, 1939 in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded by her mother, Elzeria Johnson Manning, husband, Minister Paul Alexander Suttles, daughter, Lucrenia Suttles Young, goddaughter, Mia Willis, sister, brothers, and cousins. Mrs. Julia was a graduate of Emery Street School and a former member of Fairground Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia. She was a Deaconess and Mother of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in LaFayette, Georgia. She retired from Lookout Mountain Community Service. Survivors are her loving and devoted children, Pamela S. Wright, Lugenia Suttles, Tracia S. Miller, Minister Major Suttles, Sherman (Tahnee) Suttles, and Todd (Michelle) Suttles; fourteen grandchildren, Major II (Julie), Portia, Zimbe, Daniel Trey, Sharista, Leigha, Kiersten, Nicholas, Gracia, Azerah, Arrae, Kiara, Celine; six great grandchildren, Malachi, Zoey, Kyleigh, Amontee, Cashdyn, McKenzie; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Reuben (Ann) Suttles, James LeBron Suttles, Dony (Mary) Suttles, Margaret S. (Jimmy) Blaylock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Julia Nell Johnson Suttles will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Road, LaFayette, Georgia 30728 with son, Minister Major Suttles, as Eulogist and Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor as Presider. The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion Baptist Church one hour before the service. On Friday evening December 29, 2023 there will be a Visitation and Praise Service at Community Fellowship Church, 409 North Fredrick Street, Dalton, GA 30721, from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. Dixon and Dorothy Shoemaker Dixon and was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Louvenia D. McNeal; three brothers, Joe Dixon, Doug Dixon, Aaron Dixon and aunt, Katherine Elizabeth Shoemaker Stevenson. He was a United States Army Veteran, Deacon of New Bethel Fellowship Church and retired from Roper Corporation. He is survived by his two daughters, Langela (Dwight) Marsh, Francine (Jeff) Evans; two sons, Monroe James Dixon, Barry Lynn Dixon; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; three sisters, Viola Wiggins, Dorothy Mae Dixon, Virginia Dixon; brother, David Dixon; ex-wives and mother of his children, Clara Dixon, and Sandra Blair; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
