>> Cuthbert "Bert" Lee Wilson Cuthbert Lee Wilson ("Bert") died peacefully on October 3, 2023, surrounded by family. Bert was born in Campbell County, VA, son of the late Claude and Chloe Wilson. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Amy Martin Wilson, and siblings Mable Grogan, Ralph Wilson, and Aurbon Wilson. He is survived by his son, Stephen Wilson (Karen) of Cape Canaveral, FL; his daughter, Shannon Wilson of Charlottesville, VA; his grandson, Christopher Wilson (Anne) of Oswego, IL, great-grandsons Trent and Logan Wilson, and siblings Alfred Wilson and Doris McCraw. Bert was a veteran of the Korean War (Army) and enjoyed NASCAR, Virginia history, playing piano, pitching horseshoes, and sharing jokes. He could build or fix almost anything. He will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors, followed by a reception at the family residence in Charlottesville (date TBD; this notification will be updated once the service is scheduled). The family would like to thank Charlottesville Health & Rehabilitation staff and Hospice of the Piedmont for Bert's end-of-life care.
