>> Cuthbert "Bert" Lee Wilson Cuthbert Lee Wilson ("Bert") died peacefully on October 3, 2023, surrounded by family. Bert was born in Campbell County, VA, son of the late Claude and Chloe Wilson. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Amy Martin Wilson, and siblings Mable Grogan, Ralph Wilson, and Aurbon Wilson. He is survived by his son, Stephen Wilson (Karen) of Cape Canaveral, FL; his daughter, Shannon Wilson of Charlottesville, VA; his grandson, Christopher Wilson (Anne) of Oswego, IL, great-grandsons Trent and Logan Wilson, and siblings Alfred Wilson and Doris McCraw. Bert was a veteran of the Korean War (Army) and enjoyed NASCAR, Virginia history, playing piano, pitching horseshoes, and sharing jokes. He could build or fix almost anything. He will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors, followed by a reception at the family residence in Charlottesville (date TBD; this notification will be updated once the service is scheduled). The family would like to thank Charlottesville Health & Rehabilitation staff and Hospice of the Piedmont for Bert's end-of-life care. Ronald Boyer, 74, of Goode, Virginia died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Oakwood Manor in Bedford, Virginia. He was the husband of Marianne Boyer for 33 years. He was born Saturday, November 13, 1948 in Coshocton to the late Richard and Janice (Kitchen) Boyer. After their death his Aunt Jean Watts treated Ron as her own son. Ron was a member of Mountain View Church, and a charter member of the Forest Rotary Club. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. He was a former High School History teacher. He and Marianne owned 3Cats Promo, Inc. After retirement he went to work at Home Depot and Lowes. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Jason Boyer, and Nathan (Maki) Boyer; grandchildren, Madison, Libby, Ian and Colin Boyer; a brother, Tom (Jackie) Watts; a niece, Missy Guilliams; and two nephews, Tony and Andy Watts. Along with his parents and aunt, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ed Watts; and a sister, Sue Wright. A celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p. m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Mountain View Church, 1077 Viewpoint Ln. Forest, VA 24551. Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg is handling arrangements in Virginia. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with burial to follow in South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co.
