Joey left us to be with his parents and the Lord on November 5, 2023. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a day with his family provider and extended family at a BBQ in Jackson TN. Joey was loved by everyone who met him and lived life to the fullest. He loved God, his family, traveling, trying new foods and singing loudly to Aaron Neville, he especially loved a duet with a pretty lady to "Don't Know Much". Joey was preceded in death by his parents Don and Christine Canale of Soddy Daisy, TN. They loved their son so very much, he was their whole world until their passing. Joey is survived by his loving Family Model Provider Royce Westley-Patterson of Ooltewah TN. Royce has cared for Joey for the past 12 years and Joey referred to Royce as his brother. Royce dedicated his life to caring for Joey and made sure Joey had the quality of life he wanted. Royce and Joey were hard to catch at home as they were always planning trips. Royce met and married his wife Tressel who Joey loved immediately and welcomed into the family. Tressel's family also welcomed Joey into their family and he referred to them as his family. Joey was cared for by Allied Community Supports, LLC since January of 2019. Elizabeth Mostiller co-owner of Allied Community Supports has been in Joey's life since 2007 and along with Royce promised Joey's parents that she would always take of Joey and ensure he lived the kind of life he desired. Joey did that. Lynn Bernier co-owner of Allied Community Supports and BCBA/CEO Allied Behavioral Services was also very involved in Joey's life for several years and cared for Joey greatly. We would like to also thank her for her dedication to Joey and always being there for him no matter the time or day. Joey is also survived by a sister Donna Canale who resides in New Mexico.
