Cordell Gayheart, age 74, of Leburn, KY, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. He was born in Hindman, KY on February 24, 1944 to Bill Gayheart and Nora Pridemore Gayheart. Survived by: Wife- Linda Gayheart Daughter- Beth (Daryl) Slone Grandchildren- Emaly and Ally Slone Sisters- Pearl (Leo) Watts, Dorothy Brown, Lora Dean Bradley and Mary Alice "Pat" (Troy) Hall Brothers-in-law- Robert "Bob" Greene and Ken Greene Host of Nieces, Nephews and very close friends Preceded in death by Parents- Bill and Nora Gayheart Aunt - Maude Watts Sister- Virginia Staton Brother- Clark "Teaberry" Gayheart Sister-in-law - Allene Gayheart Brothers-in-law- Don Brown, John Bradley and Jim Staton Funeral services for Cordell Gayheart will be held at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 12:00PM with Rob Hoffman and Daryl Slone officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Memory Gardens in Hindman, KY. Visitation will be held at the Chapel Wednesday evening from 6PM to 9PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Hindman United Methodist Church or Wells Hospice Center.
