Connie Poyndexter Obituary

"Connie Leta Poyndexter was born August 29, 1941, in Kinsley, Kansas, to Chester LeRoy Mack and Velma Edna Putter Mack. She died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Connie completed her secondary education in Tulsa and was a graduate of Will Rogers High School. She spent most of her working life as a sample department associate with Fabricut, Inc. in Tulsa where she retired after 32 years. Connie had been a faithful member of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including crafting, crocheting, drawing, and writing poems. She collected porcelain dolls as well as creating and selling crocheted dolls. She loved flowers and creating flower arrangements. She enjoyed playing games with her friends and family. Connie was fond of her role as "Granny" to her grandchildren. Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: Daughters; Jody Jumper Becky Chandler and husband John Grandchildren; Michael Shaw and wife Allison Steven Shaw and wife Carmen Jerica Davis and husband Santiago Rodriguez Kristen Sutton and husband Neal Great grandchildren; Haley Shaw, Steven Shaw, Jr. , Hannah Shaw Landon Shaw, Khloe Shaw, and Jeramey Rodriguez Nieces and Nephews; Gary J Mack, Wayne Mack, Brant Williams, and Andrea Jones She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Poyndexter, brother, Gary Mack, nephew, Emory Mack, and sister, Rae Williams. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Alsup Chapel of the Baptist Village in Owasso with Chaplain Steve Williams officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
