BLOOMINGDALE-Connie Sue Frink, 65, of Bloomingdale passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Springhill Village in Terre Haute. She retired from Advic's in Terre Haute. She was born June 13, 1958 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Robert Hybarger and Rebecca Norman Hybarger. Survivors include one son, Jacob Frink of Terre Haute and one brother, Michael (Kathy) Hybarger of Marshall. She was a graduate of Turkey Run High School. Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 8, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Steve Blaydes officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingdale Friends Cemetery in Bloomingdale. Visitation is from 12-2pm Sunday at Gooch Funeral Home. ROSEDALE-William Joseph "Bill" Gregg, 69, of Rosedale, Indiana went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Bill was born December 8, 1953, in Clinton, Indiana to the late Velma and Arthur Dale Gregg. He was a 1973 graduate of Rosedale High School. He worked at Clean Air Service in Terre Haute for 36 years and retired from the Terre Haute Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bill is survived by his former wife and mother of their children, Cindy Gregg Clark; children, Travis (Jessica) Gregg of Rosedale, Ashlyn (Waylon) Boyle of Brazil, and Kylie (Larry) Capps of Carbon; grandchildren, Josalyn and Jaycie Graves, Ryder Gregg, Bodie, Tulie and Beckett Boyle, Braylynn, Kreed, Kowen, and Tennessee Capps; survivors also include siblings, Larry Gregg, Steve Gregg, and Lilly Harney, a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Gregg, Glenda Davidson, Jenie Gregg, and Thelma Payton. He was a member of Social Masonic Lodge #86, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute and Zorah Shrine. He enjoyed fishing, riding his side by side,and Harley Davidson motorcycle, western movies, classic cars, Camel filters, and his family. Services will be 11 am Thursday, November 30, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main Street, Rosedale with Pastor Terry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. REELSVILLE- Donald Gene Havey, 89 of Reelsville, Indiana passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, in his residence. He was an electrician. He worked for Allison Transmission and retired from Rolls-Royce. He was born April 9, 1934, in Coloma, Indiana to the late Louis Havey and Elizabeth Firestone Havey. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sara Lou Payne Havey whom he married December 31, 1958, in Coloma, Indiana. Also surviving, three sons, Louis Michael Havey, Donald Patrick Havey and his wife Susan, and Joseph Daniel Havey and his wife Tami all of Reelsville; two brothers, Louis Havey of Montezuma and Charles Havey of Payson, Arizona; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one son, Forrest Gene Havey; five sisters, Myrtle Jones, Virginia Newendorf, Clara Vargason, Edith Lawson and Lou Clevenger; two brothers, John and Patrick Havey. He was a 1952 graduate of Montezuma High School and served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was a member of the Cloverdale American Legion Post 281. He was an outdoorsman and he loved mushroom hunting, playing the guitar and traveling. Services will be 4:00 p. m. Friday, November 24, 2023 at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. George Edward Fields, 54, of Rosedale, Indiana, passed away on November 7, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 6, 1969, in Terre Haute, Indiana. George was the director of Club Soda for several years and was able to assist many clients successfully achieve a clean and sober lifestyle. A professional heavy equipment operator, George was a familiar face working at local area and regional construction sites. George was a "grand tinkerer" - re-engineering, reclaiming, and repairing broken and discarded equipment and machines. He had an innate gift for interacting with people from all walks of life, always helping and aiding others in any way that he could. Most importantly, George was a loving son, brother, and father. George is survived by his mother Mary "Jo" Templin (Robert); sons Alexander Fields (Emily) and Ean Fields (14); daughter Elsie Fields (10); sister Dawn "Shelley" Fields; grandmother Mary Hein Beshaw; grandchildren Samuel (11), Helen (9), Amelia (2), and Sullivan (6 months); stepmother Jean Fields; half-sister Leilani Fields; half-brother Jason Fields; step-brothers Darrell and Nick Belvins; fiance Jessica "Nicole" Combs; and a large, extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. George was preceded in death by his father Clark R. Fields, his son Jeremy Fields, and his grandfather George Hein. Marjorie Lee Stevenson, 82, entered into the sheltering arms of the Lord Jesus on September 19, 2023. During her life she was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marjorie was born January 22, 1941. She was the daughter of Florence and Jesse Wayne Davis. Both preceded her in death. Marjorie married her true love, Fred Stevenson in June of 1959. They were married for 55 years before his death. Marjorie worked alongside Fred on the family farm she loved and lived on for over 50 years. They raised a family, crops and commercial strawberries for many years. She was a selfless helper and caregiver to family and friends. She was a Christian example to her children, whom she loved dearly. Marjorie is survived by her three children; Ramona (Randy) Weise, Rebecca (Terry) Mace and Fred (Barbara) Stevenson Jr. Marjorie is also survived by eight grandchildren; Gary (Jamie) Herb, Nathaniel Mace, Fred (Kendra) Stevenson III, Greg Herb, Emily (Charles) Athey, Crystal (Justin) Hoover, Madison (Eli) Stevenson and Glen (Angel) Mace. She was great grandma to Melanie Minkner, Zelda and Ezra Athey, Elise Hoover and (baby Hoover), Abel and Jensen Mace and Autumn, Havoc and Rosalie Stevenson. Other survivors include two sisters, Lois Stultz and Lillian Farrington plus several nieces and nephews. Mary E. Bruin passed away surrounded by family on August 16, 2023. Mary was born on July 2, 1933 in Byron, Indiana to William and Evelyn Reddish. She attended Greene Township School in Parke County where she met her future husband, Ralph Bruin. She graduated from Russellville High School. After high school, Ralph served in the Army where he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ralph used his considerable charms to convince Mary to move to Fairbanks where they were married on October 3, 1953. After serving in Alaska, they moved back to Indiana and both attended Purdue University where Mary earned a degree in Dietetics. After college, they settled in Indianapolis where among other jobs, Mary served 39 years as the secretary of 7th and 8th Christian Church. While several pastors served that congregation, everyone knew who really ran the church! Mary and Ralph also attended Wesley United Methodist for many years where they both served in various leadership positions. Of all the things in Mary's life, family was most important. In addition to her husband, Ralph, she is survived by her sons Mark (Sharon) and Bret (Suzi), daughter-in-law Cheryl as well as her grandchildren David, Colin, Eric, Emily, Will and Brooke Bruin and her sisters Kathryn Marshall and Carolyn Fullen. One of the joys of Mary's life was the many family gatherings attending by numerous nieces, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members. On July 2nd, over 75 people gathered at their farm to celebrate Mary's 90th birthday, a tribute to the love so many people had for her. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Jim, John and Don Reddish and sister Lois Cloncs. She joins in Heaven her beloved son, Michael Bruin, an often-decorated veteran of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Calling will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 with services following on Tuesday, August 22nd, at 11:00 am both at Russellville Community Church, 103 3rd Street, Russellville, Indiana. David Allan Lang, 68, lately of Waynetown, IN, died June 24, 2023 of a massive stroke while in Houston, TX. He was born Dec 24, 1954 in Clinton, IN to Donald E and Martha Garrigus Lang. He had an identical brother, Donald, and sisters Ann and Mary. He was pre-deceased by his father, Donald E Lang in 1965. By his first marriage he had two children, Scott and Stacy. For the past 32yrs he was married to Jean Duebner, who pre-deceased him on March 27, 2023 in Houston, TX. David attended Rockville and Waynetown schools, graduating from North Montgomery High school in 1974. He worked in the oil and chemical industry most of his working years. He worked at CF Industries, Terre Haute, IN, Clark Refinery, Wood River, IL, and later he did rigging on off-shore oil platforms in the Houston, TX gulf area and also some international oil platforms. He was very talented at woodworking, and also enjoyed metal detecting, mushroom and ginseng hunting, and target shooting with brother, Don. David is survived by his mother, Martha Rennick, Crawfordsville, IN, and his children, Scott (Tiffany) Lang, Greencastle, IN, Stacy Fowler, Thorntown, IN, Melissa Duebner Benedict, Houston, TX, and Brian Duebner, Ft Worth, TX. Grandchildren, Aubrea, Dakota, Morgan, and Kendyl Fowler, Brook (Rob) Diaz de Leon, Chris Benedict, and Jacob Benedict. And great-grandchildren, Jace, Briella, and Luca Diaz de Leon. He is also survived by his siblings, Donald Lang, Waynetown, IN, Ann (John) Robison, Iowa Falls, IA, Mary Hall, Shelbyville, IN, and Rick (Jeni) Underwood, Linden, IN.
