Connie passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Carlton Barrentine in 1998. She is survived by her son John M. Barrentine (Chuck Marquardt) of Los Angeles, California, her daughter Brenda Joy Crowder (Tommy Crowder) of Parrish, Alabama, and her grandson Zachary Dylan Payton of Hueytown, Alabama. Connie retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She was a long time member of the Hueytown Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. More recently, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, Alabama. Connie will be missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a celebration of Connie's life following at 11:00 am. Entombment at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations for the Widow's Mite program at Liberty Baptist Church, 11050 Chelsea Rd., Chelsea, AL 35053.
