Colby Watson Obituary

Age - 31
October 8, 2023
Mannington, WV
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Colby Evan Watson, 31, on October 4, 2023, at his home in Mannington WV. Colby will be greatly missed by his parents, Randy Watson (and Stacey Wise), of Mannington WV and Dawn and David Robey of Clarksburg, WV along with his siblings: Alvy Lee Ashley of Enterprise, Alabama, and stepsiblings Erick (and Gabby) Robey, Dani Jo (and Shay) Noss, and Logan (and Ashley) Robey, all of Clarksburg, WV. Colby was "uncle" to Katie Belle Ashley, Easton, Camryn and Kire Joe Robey, Nora, Sutton, Hazel, and Gunner Noss, and Remington and Colt Robey. In addition, Colby was blessed to have many grandparents still present in his life, which include paternal grandparents Bill and Julia Belch Watson, maternal grandparents Gary and Sheila Narog Sloan, all of Mannington, WV, Dannie and Barbara Robey, step-grandparents, of Clarksburg, WV, as well as his great-grandmother, Betty Lou Hepler of Fairmont, WV. Colby's loss is and will be deeply felt by his great number of extended family members, many to whom he was like a son or a brother. These include his aunts and uncles: Roger (and Gina) Watson, Jenny Scoles and David (and Rose) Watson of Mannington, WV, Scott and Elizabeth Watson of Boiling Springs, SC, Gary (and Lisa) Sloan of Mannington, WV, Kelli (and Tracy) Hartsell of Kingwood, WV, and Stephanie (and Bruce) Markley of Horner, WV and his cousins: Matthew (and Charlie) Watson, Casie (and Daniel) Strosnider, Spencer Scoles, Andrew and Tyler Hall, Kayla (and Joseph) Gregory, Jereme, Rachel, and Jennifer Watson, Courtney (and Johnny) Carpenter, Andrew (and Erin) Sloan, Josh (and Alex) Liggett, Kirsten (and Travis) Price, Kalen (and Chris) Murray, Jacob Liggett, Brodi (and Larel Teter) McCoy, Eric McCoy, Noah and Zach Markley. His reunion is taking place now with those who have gone before him, which include his maternal great-great grandmother Stella Brooks and great-grandfather Henry Narog, and his paternal great-great grandmother Pearl G. Belch Debolt and great uncle Joe Belch. Colby was a 2010 Graduate of North Marion High School and was virtually a lifelong resident of Mannington. He had passion for building and design since he was a small child, and was employed with Four Seasons Developers, doing the work that he has always loved most, with a team of co-workers that he thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. He had a special place in his heart for children and animals, which always seemed to quickly warm up to him. He loved anything outdoors, from fishing, to snowboarding, to just sitting around the fire and enjoyed many family and friend trips through the years, from Bowl Games to Bermuda. He was a fan of his mother's cooking, the WVU Mountaineers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Colby was constantly reading, learning, and keeping up on current events, and the long conversations and debates this inevitably resulted in will never be replaced or forgotten. Visitation will be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12-7:30pm where family and friends will come together in prayer prior to dismissal. There will be no funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final method of disposition. Inurnment will follow at a later date of the Mannington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or donations, please just make time every day to let your children know you are thinking of them and how much they are loved, on the good days and especially on the "not so good" days. It takes so little effort but will always mean so much!
