She was born on November 11, 1928 in Ryot; daughter of the late Jordan W. and Estella (Dull) Fleegle. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bonnie; first husband, Forrest Webb; second husband, Andrew “Andy” Horvath; brothers, Frank and Don. She is survived by her sons, Rodney and wife Gina Webb of Wyoming; Raymond and wife Sharon Webb of New Paris; 2 grandchildren, Alisha and husband Jason McDaniel, and Haley Webb; sisters, Junella Sell of Ohio; and Sandra and husband Thomas Shaffer of Schellsburg. Virginia P. “Jenny” Logsdon 77, of Bedford, died February 21, 2024 at home. She was born on July 5, 1946 in Bedford a daughter of the late Calvin C. and Maude (George) Leonard. She is survived by three children: Scott “Eddie” Logsdon, of Kilgore, TX, Leeann Logsdon, of New Paris, and Robin Bowser, of New Paris; a daughter-in-law Anna Fetter, of Bedford; 13 grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and five siblings: Ollie Sellers, Fred Sellers and wife Lori, Daniel Sellers, and Cindy Hancock, all of Texas, and Lonnie Wentz, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Robbie” Logsdon, a granddaughter Tara Sadler, a sister Diana, and a brother Richard Crawford. Jenny enjoyed training and breaking wild horses, her dog Ziggy, and collecting Avon. She loved being with her grandchildren, family, and will be missed by all who knew her. Doris B. (Hahn) Shaffer Pavia Doris B. (Hahn) Shaffer, 94, of Pavia, PA, formerly from Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully February 20, 2024 at Bedford Skilled Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born October 10, 1929, Doris Loraine Beachley & the 4th child of Charles Dewey Beachley Sr and Minnie Frances Nash Beachley of Middletown, Md. She was preceded in death by late husband’s George Robert Shaffer of Pavia, Pa, 1926-2017 and William Stephen "Bill" Hahn Jr, Frederick, Md, 1911-1981. Her brothers were Albert Nash, Charles Dewey Jr, Paul Milburn, Emmett Watson; infant sister Kathleen Leilane and 1/2 brother Jim Beachley all deceased. Doris is survived by 1/2 sister Patricia Shank of Frederick, Md; four children, David Wayne Hahn, Boulder, Co, Stephen Lee Hahn, Tacoma Park, Md, Donna Jean Hahn, Bedford, Pa and Mark Allan Hahn, Pavia, Pa. She has also step children, Janet Weimer, LaVale, Md, Marial Stone, Bedford, Pa. & George Shaffer Jr. Manassas, Va. She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris was a long-time member of the Church of Pavia and supported the church, the "Angel Meal" program, and the Pavia Veterans Association. She was a long-time employee at the Department of Agriculture, Fort Detrick, Md. where she made and kept many life long friends. Doris was a loving, kind, and gentle soul so full of faith and grace. She was also humorous and would be quick to tell you that "Getting old ain't for sissies!" She would also want it to be said again that after moving to Pavia, Pa, she felt welcome and accepted by the church and community and that she loved the people there. She would call her time in Pavia her reward. For those who knew her she will be forever loved and always missed. Friends and family will be received at the J. Price Sr. and Alice (Hann) Price, of Bedford. On November 10, 1979, he married his wife Faith (Campbell). He is survived by mother- Alice Price companion of Clay Easter, of Bedford; son- Donald R. Price III husband of Sis (McKenzie) Price; son- Tyler Price boyfriend of Nicole Decker; daughter- Trista Boyer wife of Wesley Boyer; siblings: Murice Horne companion of Robert Hockenberry, of Bedford; Belinda McKnight companion of Leroy Welsh, of Chambersburg; Kim wife of Walter Lape, of Fishertown; Jeffrey Price, of Bedford; Brian Price, of Bedford; Misty wife of Keith Holler, of Manns Choice; along with 5 grandchildren: Gabe Price, Adeliza Boyer, Jensyn Boyer, Georgia Price and baby Boyer; brothers-in-law: Robert Campbell Jr. husband of Alice; William Campbell husband of Diane; Fred Campbell husband of Jennifer; and sisters-in-law: Vanessa Shaffer wife of Ronald; Gay Twigg wife of Jimmy; Irma Miller wife of Paul; Nancy Lafferty wife of Dale. Donald is preceded in death by father- Donald Ray Price Sr, and sister-in-law Laura Shaffer widower of Lawrance Shaffer. Donald was a lifelong member and a trustee of Buffalo Mills Christian Church. He was an avid softball player for 35 years and coached 3 generations of Rec Sports. Donald enjoyed watching and pitching softball to his granddaughters. He enjoyed hunting and racing. He worked at Standard Accoustical for 35 years as a ceiling technician. Donald was the co-owner of Faithful Oak Furniture. His laughter and presence would light up a room. He loved being surrounded by his family, friends, church family and dogs Charlie and Brutus. His joy was playing games around the kitchen table with his wife and grandchildren. Margaret "Peg" Lashley, 86, of Bedford "Sweet Root Road," peacefully departed this life at her home on January 27th, 2024. Born on November 9th, 1937, she was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Lashley and the late James Robert Huber. Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Michael Lashley and Karen Bischoff of Bedford, Wendy and her husband Leo Imes of Everett, Jamey and Randy Shirley of Bedford, Troy Huber and Missy Owens of Bedford. Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love through her seven grandchildren: James Douglas "JD" and his wife Lisa Lashley of Bedford, Mindy and Jordan Glass of Bedford, Adrienne Dragoo of Breezewood, Rebecca and Travis Weaver of North Carolina, Derek and his husband Joshua Detrich of Duncansville, Devon and his wife Amber Shirley of Bedford, Danielle and husband Dustin Yost, of Everett, and Aubrie Huber. Additionally, she is survived by ten great-grandchildren: Michael, Zahli, and Alexander Lashley, Kali and Evan Glass, Alexandriah and Preston Tenley, Azrael and Aaliyah Detrich, Elena Shirley and Kendyl Yost. Margaret also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George "Pop" and Erdie Seifert, as well as by her nine siblings: Edna Seifert, Catherine Carney, Leroy Seifert, Donald Seifert, Mable Milam, Lillian Lashley, Ann Mitchell, Thomas Seifert, and Norma Jean Edwards. Peg found joy in the company of her family and could often be found tending to her garden, nurturing her beloved flowers. Ronald W. Lambert

On Saturday, January 20, 2024 Ronald W. Lambert of Candy Lane, Bedford departed Pennknoll Village to go home to be with the Lord Jesus whom he loved and served for most of his life. He was born in Johnstown, on December 11, 1935 a son of the late Hite and Augusta (Raab) Lambert. Ron is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years Sandra (Eckardt) of Bedford whom he married on June 5, 1954. He is also survived by his four sons: Stephen T. Lambert and wife Donna of Hershey; Phillip D. Lambert and wife Theresa of Dacula, GA; David Lambert of Bedford; and Mark Lambert of Everett; four grandchildren: Stephen, Gregory, Andrew, and Hannah; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Diane Lamb of Elizabethtown and Elaine Gelnett and husband Donald of Grantville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron graduated from Glen-Nor High School in Glenolden in 1953. He worked for Blackburn-Russell Co. for nearly forty years. He loved hunting and golfing, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, doing Sudoku Puzzles, woodworking, assembling model airplanes, gardening and just staying busy. He attended Bedford Bible Church. Ron loved being active in the community. He served as a PIAA softball official, as an assistant coach for Bedford High School girls softball team, and Foundations Christian Academy boys basketball team for several seasons. Ron participated in the Young at Heart Games for many years both as an avid competitor and as a solicitor for contributions and prizes used for the games. He sang with the RSVP singers and drove school bus for a number of years. But more than anything he loved serving the Lord. He served as the director of Youth for Christ in Bedford County in the 1960’s and 70’s. He was active in the church as a Sunday School teacher, elder, and deacon. He was a member of the Gideons for nearly twenty years and represented them in distributing God’s word to colleges, universities, and hotels as well as presenting the Gideons ministry in many of the churches in the area. Every year he represented the Gideons by distributing Bibles to the young people at Camp Cadet. He loved preaching God’s word in many local churches. But as much as anything else, he loved driving his 1968 Pontiac Firebird to all the local car shows and cruise ins while passing out tracts and sharing his faith with other antique and classic car enthusiasts. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, especially by his four-legged friend, Punky. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gary Greenawalt for assisting Ron when he fell. His act of kindness is deeply appreciated by the entire family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bedford Bible Church, 15 Meadow Lane, Bedford, with Pastor Martin Wickens officiating. Burial at Fishertown Cemetery. Arlene was born in Bedford on November 26, 1932, daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Kauffman) Hengst. On June 29, 1955, she married her husband Kermit C. Frazier, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2014. She is survived by daughter-Anna P. Johnson, of Everett; son- David E. husband of Tammy (Wyles) Frazier, of Bedford; daughter- Christine A. Frazier, of Bedford; along with seven grandchildren: Andrew (AJ), Ashley, Joshua, Jennifer, Kassi, Heather, and Hannah; ten great-grandchildren: Faith, Hunter, Gary, Braden, Callen, Cameron, Addison, Hayden, Owen and Bentley; and her dog April.
