Funeral Services for Claudia Skipper Penton, age 91, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am, with Services starting 10:30 am. Burial will be in Pat Skipper Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Elder Terry Robertson and Elder Gary Sumrall will officiate the service. A native of Pearl River County, MS, she was a member of Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Claudia's life was a testament to the power of music and faith, as she was known for the most resonant and soulful alto in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pascal Cleveland Skipper and Velma Lenora Mitchell Skipper; husband, Jewel Penton, Jr. , son, Reginald Pascal Penton; grandson, Jake Moeller; and brothers, Lawrence Skipper, Johnny Skipper, and Virgil Skipper. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Wyndell (Angelia) Penton; daughter, Aleta Penton (Farron) Moeller; grandchildren, Gerald (Nicole) Penton, Laura Moeller (Scott) White, Andrea Penton (Clint) Holder, Katy Moeller (Sam) Smith, Bo (Colbi) Moeller, and Damon Penton; great grandchildren, Rhett and Ella Claire McCardle; Derek and Gabe Penton; Rhett, Eli, and Vivian White; Ruby, Audrey and Braden Holder; Grant, Gray, Harper, Baylor, and Lincoln Smith; Cale, Presley, Case, and Kimber Moeller; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Margaret Penton Lumpkin, age 89, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Rev. Jonathan Espy will officiate the service. A native of Millcreek Community, MS, Margaret loved being a homemaker, wife, Mom, and Grandma, most of all. She graduated McNeill High School, where she played on the high school basketball State Championship Team. Margaret was very social in her neighborhood of Millbrook Estates, where she served on the homeowners association board, was active with the Christmas Luminary and home decoration contests every year, until she sold her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy D. Lumpkin; her brother, Charlie Buck Spiers; and her sister, Forrestine Spiers. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Frederick Barry Lumpkin and wife Connye of Poplarville, MS. , Brian Douglas Lumpkin and wife Joy of Brandon, MS. , and Roxie Lumpkin Cooper and husband Paul of Cape Canaveral, FL. ; 6 grandchildren, Roxie Lumpkin Larson, Bradley D. Lumpkin, Brian D. Lumpkin, Jr. , Christina Lumpkin Martin, Melissa Cooper Powell and Brittney Lumpkin Stewart; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and her brother, Virgil Spiers of Carriere, MS. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home. Margaret's family wishes to thank Beehive Homes of Picayune, and all of their staff, especially Tiffany Clogher, Manager, and Ashley Clogher, Assistant Manager, for their assistance and care of our Mom, for the past 4 years. We also wish to thank the entire team at Gentiva Hospice, for the care and comfort they provided these last few months. Funeral Services for Lowell Elliott Webb, age 86, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Rev. Beth Rolfs will officiate the service. Born at his grandmother's house in Bloomer, Wisconsin, he attended Kindergarten through 8th grade at the Mile Corner one-room schoolhouse, followed by Bloomer High School where he graduated in 1954. Afterward, he attended Northwest Prep School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lowell then attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland from 1956 - 1960, and later attended post graduate school in Monterrey, California from 1964 - 1966. During his time with the United States Navy, he proudly served on the U. S. S. Weeks, the U. S. S. Boxer, and the U. S. S. John F. Kennedy. Lowell served in the Vietnam War from 1966 - 1967, where he spent time in the Mekong Delta, patrolling the river on PBR boats. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for the Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center. During the early 1980's, Lowell taught Chemistry and Physics at Picayune Memorial High School. He later returned to civil service with the Naval Oceanographic Office, where he retired at the age of 82 in 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Willard Webb and Norma Josephine Lane Webb. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Sandra Alice DiStefano Webb; his son, Christopher Robert Webb; his daughters, Michelle (Paul) Lane Webb Berdux and Andrea (Brian) Louis Webb Saffle; his 7 grandchildren, Anthony Webb, Meghan Webb, Quinn Webb Davis, Coleen Webb Driggers, Elliot Webb, Emily Saffle, and Lexie Saffle; his 4 great grandchildren, Adelai Davis, Isaiah Davis, Jordyn Webb, and Wallace Webb; his brothers, Layne Dix Webb and Bruce Colin Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
