Funeral Services for Clarence John Petry, Jr. of Winfield, MO will be at 12:00 p. m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Larry Gallaher, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church in Foley, MO will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p. m. at Carlyle Cemetery in Carlyle, IL. Serving as pallbearers will be David Petry, Dustin Petry, Jeremiah Hemmer, Zach Hemmer, Isaiah Hemmer, Jed Hemmer, Brian Ratliff and Elijah Hoelting. Clarence, 95, passed away Thursday night, September 7, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born December 8, 1927 in East St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Clarence John and Emma Florence Kleber Petry, Sr. Clarence attended Dupo High School in Dupo, IL. He served his country in the United States Army from April 1946 to June 1947. Clarence was united in marriage on December 3, 1951 in Maysville, KY to Elizabeth Irene Boone. This union was blessed with four children: David, Karen, Cynthia and Paula. Clarence did maintenance for the Winfield Lock and Dam, retiring in 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Emma Petry, Sr. ; his brother, Anthony Petry; one sister, Thelma Poff; one daughter, Karen Hoelting; and his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Petry, who died on January 4, 2008. Survivors include three children: David Petry of Winfield, Cynthia Petry of Cahokia, IL and Paula Hemmer and her husband, Tony, of Winfield; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Clarence also leaves one sister, Shirley Simmermon of Bethel, OH; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a. m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 p. m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. Robert worked as a construction laborer for many years. He was united in marriage on August 31, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV to Ruth Ann Pettit. Their home was blessed with three children: Robert II, Joe and Trisha. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Moll; one brother, Dathan Kimberly; one sister, Laura Moll; and his aunt, Judy Lovelace. Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Ruth Moll of Winfield; three children: Robert A. Richard's family will lead the Service. Richard, 73, passed away Wednesday night, September 20, 2023 at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, MO. Born June 21, 1950 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Diederich Aloysius and Adele Marie Gnade Anthony. Raised in rural Old Monroe, he was a 1968 graduate of St. Dominic Catholic High School in O'Fallon, MO. Richard served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from May 26, 1969 until he was honorably discharged May 23, 1973. During his service, he was assigned to Indochina, Vietnam and Korea as an avionics and radar repairman. He was united in marriage on September 27, 1980 in Old Monroe, MO to Lavada Mae Gilbert. Their home was blessed with three children: Neil, Nettie and Richard, Jr. Richard worked as an electrician in the skilled trades for General Motors in Wentzville, MO for many years until his retirement in 2019. He was a member of the UAW Local #2250 in Wentzville. He was a member of the VFW Post #8828 in Troy, MO. Richard enjoyed the Veteran's Coffee Talk in Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Diederich and Adele Anthony; three brothers: one that died in infancy, John Anthony and Paul Anthony; three sisters: Teresa Travers, Doris Harrison and Sister Jane Anthony; and a son-in-law, Brady Swindell. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 43 years, Lavada Anthony; three children: Neil Earl Emily of Bowling Green, MO, Nettie Leola Altman and her husband, Michael, of Winfield, and Richard Aloysius Anthony, Jr. (Ricky) and his wife, Dana, of Moscow Mills, MO; seven grandchildren: Courtney and her husband, Brandon, Thomas, Tyler, Stanley Ryan, Brandon, Dustin and Ashlee; three great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Hadley and Arlee; and three God children: Jeff Harrison, DeDe Hance and Alan Travers. Private Graveside Services will be at Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy, MO. Diane, 83, passed away Friday night, September 15, 2023 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy. Born December 14, 1939 in St. Louis, MO, she was the fourth of six children born to Ova Allen and Ida Mae Bennett Norris. Diane was united in marriage on September 29, 1956 in Troy to Billy Lee Penrod. This union was blessed with three sons: William Allen, Kenneth Lee and Steven Earl. Billy and Diane owned the IGA in Old Monroe, MO for many years. She was also a cook for the Winfield R-4 School District. Diane was a member of Corinth Christian Church and loved singing at church and with Christian groups. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ova and Ida Norris; two brothers: Richard Allen and Paul Tracy Norris; and her beloved husband of 41 years, Billy Penrod, on April 5, 1998. Survivors include their sons: Allen Penrod, Kenny Penrod and his significant other, Mona Dixon, and Earl Penrod and his wife, Debbie, all of Winfield; eight grandchildren: Jeffrey, Michael, Jacob, Michelle, Rachael, Heather, Zackery and Gregory; and eleven great-grandchildren: Owen, Claire, Kiri, Riley, Jordan, Kaya, Sammy, Thomas, Wyatt, Kayleigh and Keri Ann. Kevin, 63, passed away Saturday morning, September 9, 2023 at his home near Winfield. Born July 28, 1960 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Oliver and Edith Dickherber Sitton. Kevin was united in marriage on December 6, 1980 in Old Monroe, MO to Jacklyn Denise Dale. This union was blessed with four children: Nicholas, Andrew, Alexander and Katelyn. Kevin was a 1978 graduate of Winfield High School; and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in December, 1983. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Boeing. Kevin worked hard to provide for his family. Jaci was the love of his life, and the family they created was the most important thing to him. He cherished spending time with his family whether it was playing games, going to museums or air shows, working on cars, or sharing their love of cruising. Kevin was an avid plane enthusiast, who could identify any airframe with just a quick glance. He was intelligent, kind, and loving. He will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Edith Sitton. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Jacklyn Sitton of Winfield; their children: Nicholas Sitton and his wife, Amanda, of Troy, MO, Andrew Sitton and his wife, Elizabeth, of Warrenton, MO, Alexander Sitton and his wife, Danielle, of St. Louis, MO and Katelyn Sitton of St. Charles; and four grandchildren: Gracelyn, Brooklyn, Isabelle and Bryce. Bill, 82, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of William Monroe Drew, Sr. and Grace McDaniel Drew. He was united in marriage to Shirley Mattingly until her death. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kelly and Carie. He was married again on July 3, 1996, to Toni Wimberly Clarke who brought two more daughters to the family, Vicki and Robin. We feel blessed that our family has grown to what it is today. Bill was an amateur radio operator and a member of the NRA. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Bill worked as an expediter supervisor for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr, and Grace Drew. Born June 29, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Alex and Grace Hartong Konopka. Joyce was united in marriage on August 12, 1960 in St. John, MO to Arnold Lewis Fritz. This union was blessed with two sons: Michael and Steven. Joyce worked as an elementary teacher for the Fort Zumwalt School District, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Joyce and Arnold were longtime members of the St. Charles Area Woodcarvers and Mid America Woodcarvers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Grace Konopka; two brothers: George Lambros and Bill Lambros; and her beloved husband of 44 years, Arnold Fritz, who died on February 4, 2005.
