Jane Waller, 97, of Lake Jackson, Texas, went to be in the arms of the Lord on February 20, 2024. She was born on May 25, 1926, to Fecundo Crespin and Candida Medran in Logan, New Mexico.She attended and graduated Clovis High School in 1942, and afterward settled in Alice, Texas. Jane met and married the love of her life Malvin William Waller, married August 15, 1947, and raised a large, beautiful family.She had numerous passions, such as sharing the word of the Lord, reading, living a healthy lifestyle and crafts. Her love of crocheting angels motivated Jane to open her own store, Crafts & More, in Brazoria, Texas and become an entrepreneur. When she was not at her craft store, you could find Jane bonding with the community or surrounded by her loving family.Jane is preceded in death by her parents Fecundo Crespin and Candida Medran, husband Malvin Waller, siblings Ernest Crespin, Albert Crespin, and David Crespin, Mary Royals, and Irene Hammer, sons William Waller and Mark Waller, daughter JoAnn Waller, granddaughter Melissa Pate and grandsons Michael Wildman and Wade Miller.Jane is survived by her brother Fred Crespin, daughters Shirley Clark, Lynda Wildman, Brenda Peterson (Jay), and Carolyn Chambers (Dan), son David Waller (Patricia), granddaughters Christine Davis, Kimberly Williams, Tiffany Maywald, Erica Wildman, Brandy Pierson, Kelly Waller, Brooklyn Waller, grandsons Kenneth Young, and Sean Miller, Derek Wildman, Robert Waller, Jason Clark, Dustin Chambers, Ronnie Springer, Patrick Springer, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Active pallbearers include Derek Wildman, Jason Clark, Nathaniel Davis, Will Davis, Logan Waller, Landon Waller, Gavin Williams, and Aaron Johnson.Honorary pallbearers include Caleb Young, Corbin Young and Sean Miller.Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at C.T. John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Wilda Williamson and his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Ida Mae Orsini, as well as his great grandmother June Hammack and great grandfather Joseph Orsini. John is survived by his daughter Abigail Orsini of Texas, his parents Mike and Jill Orsini, brother Anthony and his wife Rachel Orsini and their children Michael and Delia. Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Grimes Hamilton of Lake Jackson, formerly of Huntington, will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Thomas Riley and Brother Cary Modisett officiating. Interment will follow in Jonesville Cemetery. Dorothy Mae Grimes Hamilton was called home at the age of 89 Friday, February 16, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born May 5, 1934 in Colmesneil, Texas to James W. and Mattie Bell (Cryer) Grimes. The second of nine children, she helped care for her younger siblings often and had a strong bond with each one. She married Henry Wayne Hamilton January 20, 1951. She earned a certificate in secretarial training from Elliot Business College in Beaumont in 1951 at the age of 17. After Wayne served in the Army, they moved to Clute, Texas where they had their 3 sons. Dorothy had several jobs including a service writer at Clyde V Lee Motors in Freeport, cook at Brazosport ISD and owner of the Purple Pride Bar and Grill. After Wayne's retirement in 1986, they moved back to Huntington, Texas where they became widely known for their gardening skills. It was at this time they joined the Church of Christ in Huntington and became faithful members. Dorothy and Wayne were married 59 years and 11 months before his passing in 2010. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, camping, quick trips to the casino, and spending time with her family. When asked, Dorothy would say God and family are the most important things in life. During the last several years, Dorothy became an Astros fan and watched them faithfully. Survivors include her sons, Mitchell Hamilton and wife Ellen, and Mark Hamilton and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Jeremy Hamilton and wife Ashlee, Michelle Patrick and husband Derrick, Matthew Hamilton and wife Stacey, and Corben Browning; great-grandchildren, Cynthia Halfmann and husband Cody, Devon Patrick, April Cruz, Jada Taylor-Harris, Bailee McCoy, Addison Patrick and Hunter Hamilton; great-great-grandchildren, Caidee, Cheyenne and Lane Halfmann; siblings, Rose Ellis and husband Jerry, and Johnny Grimes; sisters-in-law, Wanda Grimes, Patty Grimes and Onetta Roebuck and husband Vernice; and daughter-in-law, Dusty Ling. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. Awaiting her in heaven are her parents; husband, Wayne Hamilton; son, Michael Hamilton; brothers, Marcus Grimes and Tommy Ray Grimes; sisters, Viola Noe, Agnes Irene Grimes, Naomi Dykes, and Mary Bell Sanchez; and daughter-in-law, Christy Hamilton. Pallbearers are Jeremy Hamilton, Matthew Hamilton, Tony Grimes, Steve Massey, Jimmy Grimes, Jr., and Andrew Day. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Bittick, Mike Guajardo and James Gist. Special thank you to Monica and the staff at Revered Texan for their love and support as well as Lori with Divinity Hospice for their compassionate care. George Anthony “Tony” Bell age 60, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Tony was born in Wake County on March 16, 1963 to the late George Henry and Betty Jean Brown Bell. Raised in Clayton, he graduated from Clayton High School and attended North Carolina State University before joining the US Navy. While in the Navy, Tony served as a Nuclear Machinist Mate in the nuclear propulsion plant onboard the USS Enterprise and was a Naval Nuclear Power School & Prototype graduate. He also earned a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Thomas Edison State University. After his military service, his career brought him to Lake Jackson, TX where he started his family and lived for many years. He is survived by his son, Anthony Bell and his wife, Reagan; daughter, Laurin Cuellar and her husband, Josh; sister, Bronna Greer and her husband, Paul; nieces, Laura Carver and her husband, Stephen; Julianne Scott and her husband Tom; great nieces, Kyndal Carver, Khloe Carver, and Kennedy Carver; great nephews, Greer Scott and Reid Scott. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy Heflin and Vandelia Tillett Brown and paternal grandparents, Vernon and Lala Bell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00am in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends following the service. "Thomas Herbert Evans, Sr., passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 92 in Lake Jackson, TX He was born on July 2, 1931, to Walter Evans and Nena Riser in Ruston, LA. He is the last of brothers, James, Lewis, Bill, Fred, and Walter to pass. Survived by three children; Thomas Evans, Jr., of Emory TX, Alysa Randall of Brazoria, TX, and Sally Gail Whitaker of Midlothian, TX; six grandkids; 14 great-grandkids; and a number of nieces and nephews. A veteran of the US Army in the Korean War, he operated a howitzer ( cannon). At the age of 16, he moved from Louisiana to Dallas, TX, where he worked at a bowling alley. Through the years he worked at Foremost Dairy, 7-up Bottling Co., and delivered products for Lance Snacks. He learned how to do various jobs like plumbing, carpentry, electrical as well as several other things. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 16, 2024, in Rest Haven Memorial Park."
