Clara Marie Murphy, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on September 7th, 2023. She was married to William Harmon "Buddy" Murphy Sr. in Durant Oklahoma on July 21st, 1956, and shared a marriage of almost 61 years before the passing of Buddy on March 15th, 2016. Clara was born to Norman Howard Beste and Ruby Jeanette McGrew-Beste in Mineral Wells, Texas on April 23rd, 1940. She attended McKinney, Texas schools grades 1-12.

Dorothy Inez Harris, age 94, of Bonham, TX was born on February 26, 1929 in Ely, Texas to John and Gertie Harris. She passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Stonebrook Assisted Living Center in Denison, Texas. Dorothy Harris married Clyde Ray Lankford on May 31, 1947; he preceded her in death on January 22, 1994. On February 7, 1997 she married Bobbie Joe Harris in Savoy, Texas; he preceded her in death on November 3, 2020. Dorothy was a graduate of Bonham High School and worked as a cashier for Kroger's where she retired. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Dorothy attended First Baptist Church in Bonham and was formerly a longtime member of Savoy First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Donnie Lankford and wife Sandra of Ector, TX; son-in-law Gary Hance of Durant, OK; grandchildren Mike Hance and wife Kristi, Stacey Rainwater and husband Todd, Lori Casstevens and husband Nathan, Jared Lankford and wife Lauren, Kassie Reinecker and husband Brent, and Kayla Bohannon and husband Derek; 16 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, sister Thelma Estes and husband Jimmy of McKinney, TX; in addition to numerous extended family members and friends. She is also preceded in death by both her parents, John and Gertie Harris, son Steve Lankford, daughter Clydette Hance, and siblings Jean Magness, Mattie Magness, Reba Fox, John Harris, and Wanda Boothe. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone, Texas. Pastor Landon Heinen will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Hance Jared Lankford, Todd Rainwater, Nathan Casstevens, Jacob Hance, Jordan Hance, Colby Casstevens, and Parker Casstevens. ObituaryMichael Wayne Ames passed away quietly on November 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. Michael was born November 22, 1949 to John Cecile "J. C. " Ames, and Mary Ellen "Polly" Ames on November 22, 1949. He was a caring and compassionate man, which led him to his career path for life. After high school, he served as a specialist 4th class in the United States Army. He later pursued a Master's Degree in Theology from Liberty University and became a small business owner, as well as a passionate Chaplain and Reverend. He took great pride in comforting and assisting others as a Chaplain, during the most difficult times of their lives -- during sickness, injury or loss of a loved one. Michael was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Ames, mother, Polly Ames, and brother, Terry Glenn Ames. He is survived by his sons, Michael Wayne Ames II and his wife Emily Green Ames, John Christian Ames, Phillip Wade Ames and his wife Jennifer Page Ames, and daughter, April Denise Ames-Harrison and her husband Jeromy Wayne Harrison. He is also survived by his grandson Michael Christian Ames, granddaughters, Kaitlyn Payne Ames, Olivia Claire Ames, Emma-Gail Rose Ames, and great grandchild, Levi Cian Ames. Rosa Lee Melton, age 71 of Bonham, Texas, died at her residence on November 15, 2023. She was born on February 2, 1952, in Gadsden, Alabama to Thomas Scott and Frances Lee Busby. She enjoyed spending time with her family that she cherished. She married Larry J. Melton on March 18,1993. She was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her five children: Cynthia and Johnny Gorden of Bonham, Texas, Tammy Kinser of Blue Ridge, Texas, Teresa Brown of McKinney, Texas, Jimmy and Felicia Caraway of McKinney, Texas, Michael Melton of Bonham, Texas. Siblings: James and Patricia Crow, Debra and Scott Powell, Martha Ann Grier, Danny and Donna Busby, Rodney Busby, and Mark and Tina Busby. Eighteen grandchildren: Jennifer Angell and Aaron, Brian Angell and Stephanie, Johnathan and Kayla Gorden, Jennifer and Chad Blankenship, Ryan Murrell, Jacob Gorden, Joseph Gorden, Starla Gorden, Sahara Gorden, Heather Kinser and Nicole, Brenna and Lowell Nelson, Zachary and Hilary Brown, Tyler Brown, Meagan Caraway, Brooke and Tony Richardson, Danielle and Adam Bellar, Preston Melton, and Jaxon Melton. Blessed with sixteen great grandchildren: Joshua Vines, Micah Angell, Blake Luttrell, Aaden Vines, Rachel Melton, and Dakota, Nikeli Gorden, Savannah Gorden, Carson Gorden, Dakota Blankenship, Ryder Blankenship, Leslie Blankenship, James Blankenship, Jameson Kinser Darnell, Hadley Brown, Landon Triner, Braxton Richardson and four great- grandchildren: Levi Paxton, Arabella Paxton, WestonBlankenship, and Rowdy Stark. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry J. Melton, ex-husband Jimmy Caraway, her parents Thomas and Frances busby, and many more Angels welcoming her in Heaven. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She always made room for the needs of others. Glenn was born August 17, 1930 in Rochester, TX, the son of the late Odell Cox and Helen Wadzeck Cox. He attended Rochester High School and graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, TX. After college he served in the Navy for 2 years. His entire business career was in the oil industry. He worked for Sun Oil Company in Pampa, TX, Oklahoma City, OK and Dallas, TX. He had a generous heart second to none and served in many civic organizations and on the board of the First Methodist Church in Pampa, TX. When it came to his family there was nothing he would not do for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Jo Veta Ellison, brother: Willis Cox, Wife: Betty Miers Cox, Wife: Wanda Todd Cox. Glennis Geraldine (Dopson) Lehde, age 71, was born on February 16, 1952 in Bastrop, LA to Jack Dopson and Willie Mae (Anderson) Dopson. She passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 during her stay at Texoma Medical Center Denison, TX surrounded by her loving family. Jerry married the love of her life David Lehde in 1978 in Fannin County; he preceded her in death in 2008. Jerry attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas and furthered her education by obtaining her associate degree. She began her career as an LVN in 1980 where she worked at various hospitals including the Fannin County Hospital. Jerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by those that loved her. Jerry is survived by her sons, Dale Trompler (Kim) of McKinney, Kevin Trompler (Kelly) of Bonham, and Josh Lehde (Candice) of Sherman; grandchildren, Jarrod Trompler, Kade Trompler, Ryan Trompler, Jadyn Lehde, Jordyn Lehde, Kylee Trompler, Jayce Lehde, and Jax Lehde; sister, Cheyene Orr (Les) of Texarkana; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
