Age - 84

November 27, 2023

Veronica (Emswiler) Palkovic left her earthly home on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and G. Harriet (Steckbeck) Emswiler, her son, Andy, and her husband, John (Gabby) Palkovic. Surviving Veronica are her sons Jeff Palkovic (Suzanne), and John Jr Palkovic (Bonnie); 4 grandchildren, AJ Palkovic, Katie Ozdowski (Lauren), Jason Palkovic (Nicole) and Jeremy Palkovic (Heather); and 7 great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Roni, she had a love for life and for her many friends she made along the way. Among her many pursuits during the course of her life, Roni worked at Penn National Race Course, Boscov's Dept Store, Water Golf on City Island and was a Longaberger Basket sales consultant. She surely loved her baskets and was known to organize many a fun-filled bus trip to Dresden, OH to the Longaberger plant. Roni loved her 3 sons, her 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren without measure. Before kidney transplants became commonplace, she courageously and lovingly donated one to her middle son, Andy, showing the lengths she would go for her family. A true animal lover, she never met a dog or cat that she didn't like and would happily feed any stray that wandered by. Roni loved helping out at church, especially before Lent making fasnachts. One of her other favorite hobbies was cooking special treats for family and friends (homemade pizza, Stromboli, Christmas cookies and more). Her colorful character, zest for life and larger than life personality will be missed by all who knew her well. She can rest now, pain free, as she reunites with Gabby and Andy. Rest well Roni knowing you were well loved. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046.
