Christopher O'Brien Obituary

Christopher C. O'Brien, 32, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Tampa, Florida where he had been employed as an insulation and dry wall installer. Chris, born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on May 4, 1990, was raised and attended school in East Longmeadow. Chris is survived by his mother Susan Fishkin Messier and her husband Danny of Springfield and his father Daniel O'Brien and his wife Elisa Baird O'Brien of Wilbraham. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Aaron O'Brien and his wife Kelly from East Longmeadow and their sons Caden & Cody. O'Brien; his grandmother Ronnie O'Brien of Springfield; his special uncle, Kevin O'Brien and his wife Rebecca of Stafford, CT. ; his aunt Patti of Newport, RI; his stepbrother Karson Baird of Wilbraham; his stepbrother Brian and his wife Brianna of South Hadley; his stepsister Krista of San Jose, CA; his cousin Josh and his wife Katy and their daughters Michaela and Madison of Springfield; his cousin Nicholas O'Brien of Stafford, CT; numerous cousins and many dear friends. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents Daniel O'Brien and Charles and Carol Fishkin. Chris especially loved to cook and grill and enjoyed fishing, wood carving, drawing and outdoor activities. Chris loved all animals, especially his best friend Bailey who passed on in 2022. Chris loved his family and friends and would do anything for them, he was a proud Irishman with a heart of gold. Chris will be truly missed many. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 4pm - 6pm at Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1858 Allen St. , Springfield, followed by Words of Remembrance at 6pm.
