Christine Ruzzini Obituary

"On Friday, May 5, 2023, Christine (Woods) Ruzzini, age 93, formerly of Bellevue, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Wife of the late Gabriel "Gabe" Ruzzini; loving mother of Richard Ruzzini (Laura) and Roberta Stewart; grandmother of Stephen and Lucy Ruzzini; sister of the late Betty Karolak (Stanley), James Woods (Irene), Daniel Woods (Irene) and Patricia Fitzgerald (Don); aunt of Danetta Soergel (Reed), David Woods (Chris), Denise Roussino (Dean), Paul Woods (Peggy), Gerri Hughes (Rick) and Raymond Karolak (Sheila); daughter of the late Catherine and James Woods; sister-in-law of the late Josephine Ruzzini and Andy Ruzzini (Joan). Christine was a long-time volunteer of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Suburban General Hospital and their New-To-You Shop in Bellevue. She was a member of Assumption Parish for over 57 years. Early in her career, Chris was executive assistant to the VP of Sales for the Pittsburgh Coke and Chemical Company. She left work outside the home to raise her family. Later, Chris returned to work as an administrative assistant for a payroll company in downtown Pittsburgh. Chris loved to walk every day and greet friends along the main street in Bellevue, PA. In 2016, she sold the home they built in Bellevue and moved to Daylesford Crossing in Paoli, PA to be closer to her son and his family. There she created a whole new crop of friends with her outgoing personality and ready wit. Family and friends will be received Friday, May 12, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc. , 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, PA 15202. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday at Regina Coeli Parish, Church of the Assumption, 45 N. Sprague Avenue, Bellevue, PA. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Paralyzed Veterans of America in her name. "
