Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Hill of Willisburg; a son, Jerry Wayne Burton, Jr. (Karen) of Springfield; three grandchildren, Ronnie Hill, Amber Burton and Aaron Burton; a great grandchild, Haislee Lyons and two sisters, Myrna Thompson (Billy) of Springfield and Debra Hernandez of Willisburg. Michael Lynn "Mike" Tyler, age 74, of Springfield, KY passed away at 2:52 a. m. , Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home. He was born in Harrodsburg, KY on June 2, 1949 to the late John Charles "J. C. " and Geneva Young Tyler. He was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, a 1967 graduate of Boyle County High School and a retired employee of American Greetings where he was employed for forty-seven and half years. Survivors include his wife, Sue Russell Tyler; a son, Timothy Tyler (Karen) of Danville; a daughter, Laura Russell Sandefur (Jason) of Paris; four grandchildren, Shannon Coyle (Trevor) of Danville, Kyle Tyler of Danville, Allison Cascio (Jacob) of Paris and Jared Sandefur of Paris and a brother, Morris "Rudy" Tyler (Evyonne) of Junction City. She was born in Burwell, Nebraska on February 27, 1957 to Ralph E. and Doneta Erington Hoppes. She was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a 1975 graduate of Washington County High School and a former employee of Wilbert Plastic of Lebanon. Preceding her in death was her father, Ralph Hoppes and two brothers, Terry Hoppes and Brian Hoppes. On November 14, 1975 she was united in marriage to, Patrick L. Edelen. Survivors include her husband, Pat Edelen; two sons, Jason Edelen (fiancee, Rachel Komeshak) of Knoxville, TN and Brandon Edelen of Hebron and two daughters, Kari Jo Booe (Rodney) of Greensburg and Kaly Madsen (Zach) of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren. His second career was a business broker with Dailey Resources, Inc. for 35 years. His hobbies included woodworking, working in his shop, and driving his tractor. He attended the River of Life Church in Springfield. Preceding him in death was a sister, Mary Wyatt and a brother, Jerry Wyatt. He was a retired employee of the General Electric Company of Louisville.
