Funeral Service 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Monday, June 27, 2022 at St Luke Lutheran Church, 7000 Hinton Ave. S. , Cottage Grove, MN 55016. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred as a fund is being established for his daughters. Christopher Michael Rodenberg was born on March 1, 1980, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to parents, Michael and Linda (nee Smith) Rodenberg. He graduated from Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minnesota Class of '98. He then went into Carpentry School in Saint Paul Technical College, Saint Paul, Minnesota. For 16 years he worked at Gerdau Steel in Saint Paul and recently briefly worked at Renewal by Andersen in Cottage Grove. The joy of his life was his daughters, Shyanne and Jocelynn. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He courageously fought Leukemia for 14 months and found peace on Monday, June 20, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Preceded in death by maternal great grandparents, Joe and Carol Johnson; paternal grandparents, Fred and Alverna Rodenberg; maternal grandfather, Roland Smith; and brother-in-law, Shawn Morgan. Survived by daughters, Shyanne and Jocelynn; parents, Mike and Linda; sisters, Heidi Morgan (Matt) and Aimee (Jason) Marvin; nieces and nephews, Ashlee, Caitlin (Jesse), Brooke, Quenton, Kali, Evan, Ava, and Wyatt; maternal grandmother, Joanne Smith; uncles, Tim Smith and Tom (Sue) Smith; and cousins and many lifelong friends.
