Ann Jennings died peacefully on her ranch November 27, 2023 at the age of 95. Ann or Mama Ann known to most, was born at Hodges Ranch near Roby, Texas on February 27, 1928, one of 8 children. She was married to her loving husband, Don Jennings on February 28, 1948. After raising her three sons as a stay at homemom, she received her teaching degree in 1978, taught elementary school for 20 years and touched so many young lives in a positive way. She moved to Nolan, Texas, to the JJ Ranch, in 1996. She loved the Nolan community, made so many dear friends and was a member of the Nolan Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mama Ann loved to paint, cook, garden, spend time with family and oh how she loved her dogs. Any dog that got to call the JJ Ranch home was one lucky dog. She had the kindest spirit and so many will tell you, when they grow older they hope to be just like Mama Ann. Her granddaughter Lauren Jennings Jones may have said it best, "Mama Ann was never afraid of the world (except snakes) She let it take her by the hand and show her what it's made of. There, she found love. She painted it. She taught it to young people. She read about it. She also made fun of it. She spoke it too, unwaveringly. And fortunately, she shared all of it with us~ What's even more profound is that we're all here because of her. What a legend. " Ann is preceded in death by her parents James Wesley and Velma Berry, her husband Don Jennings, and six siblings. She is survived by her 3 sons and spouses, Gary, Steve and Kathleen, and Lance and Tanja Jennings, six grandchildren and spouses, Lauren and Louis Jones, John and Lakeyn, Jacqueline, Katie, Will and Abbey Jennings, five great grandchildren, Iris, Jack, Olivia, Noah and Jesse Pearl and a younger brother, Elgin Berry.
