Cherl Sue West, born on April 16, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Rosie Hendricks and Earle Silvis, passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 77. Her life was a beautiful tapestry interwoven with faith, love, and enduring family bonds. In 1964, Cherl married her first love, Mark Allen West. Their marriage, spanning nearly five decades, was serenaded to the tune of "Hey Paula," and included a two-year stint in Japan, due to Mark's Navy service. Their loving journey continued until Mark's passing in 2013. In her later years, Cherl discovered a new chapter of joy and companionship with Ethan England. Grounded in her faith, Cherl was a cherished Sunday school teacher at Meridian Church of God. She became a spiritual mentor in each of her church communities, particularly during Mark's years of pastoral service. A proud graduate of Southport High School, Cherl also enjoyed a fulfilling career at Fifth Third Bank. Among her many talents were her culinary skills, which took center stage at family gatherings--her beautifully designed birthday cakes and home-cooked meals demonstrated her love to those blessed to enjoy them. Cherl is survived by her husband, Ethan England; her siblings Rusty Silvis, Patricia Murr and her husband, Bill, Jerry Hendricks and his wife, Maymie, and Darin Hendricks; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her legacy as a devoted wife, loving sister, and cherished aunt will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 1:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the funeral hour. Cherl will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel. 729 N. Duane Arnold

Duane Arnold

Age - 89

December 6, 2023

On December 2, 2023, Berchard Duane Arnold entered into the presence of God to behold and be held by his Savior. This was his burning passion for his final leg of this life's journey. He was greeted by those who had gone before him: his parents, Berchard and Dorothy (Cunningham) Arnold; his beloved wife, Kay (Jorgensen) Arnold; his son, Kevin Duane Arnold; sister, Yvonne Litz, and son-in-law, Rex Windhorst. He is survived by his daughter, Kirsten Windhorst; grandchildren, Stacey and Stephen Windhorst; his brother, Keith (Beverly) Arnold; sister, Judy Allen, and daughter-in-law, Lillian Arnold. Numerous things could be written of Duane's accomplishments, and of all the lives he touched, but he would prefer to tell of all that Christ has done for him. It would be appreciated for all donations to be made to either Rio Grande Bible Institute, located at 4300 S. US Highway 281, Edinburg, TX 78539, or to Franklin City Church, at 230 Commerce Drive, Franklin, IN 46131. As flowers fade - and Kirsten has allergies - we would prefer to have all monies contributed towards things that will invest in eternity for others. As Duane enters eternity, his statement will be two-fold: 1) "the man on the middle cross said I could come", and 2) "I'm Kay's husband. . . I'm with her". For those planning to attend the visitation and/or funeral: my father said, "I do NOT want a suit and tie, therefore, since I'm not showing up in one, I do NOT expect anyone else to either. "For the family's sake, please do not attend if you have any signs or symptoms of illness. Masks are appreciated. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 2:00pm at Franklin City Church, located at 230 Commerce Drive in Franklin, Indiana, with visitation from 12:00pm until the funeral hour. Duane will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel. 729 N. US Highway 31, Whiteland, IN 46184.
