Nancy Irene Cottle

Nancy Irene Cottle passed away March 1, 2024 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Nancy grew up in Huntsville, AL as well as in Memphis, TN where she attended the Lausanne School for Girls. She used to recount a time that Elvis met the students. After Lausanne, Nancy joined the Marines and served during the vietnam war. After her military service she worked as a social worker then later obtained her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her juris doctorate from the University of Alabama Law School. Throughout her legal career she had a trial or hearing in all 67 counties of the state of Alabama. Nancy's husband John was also an attorney and they served as adversaries for a moot court lesson for the students at Duke University. Nancy enjoyed reminding John that she prevailed in that case. During the time she resided in Tallassee and Lake Martin, AL she was the first woman to serve on the Tallassee Community Hospital board of Directors and was also active in the Methodist church and McCraney-Cottle Arts council After she relocated to Florida she served as Vice Chair of the Walton County Democratic party and served as Chairman of Sinfonia Gulf Coast Board of Directors. She was a lifelong supporter of all of the Arts and Education and had a firm belief that early exposure to the arts was essential to raising critical thinking compassionate people. Nancy was a veteran, attorney, wife and mother but above all she was a devoted grandmother to her beloved granddaughters, McKenzie & Sydney. She was fortunate to have been able to take several rewarding family trips with them. Some of their more memorable destinations included New York, Alaska, Washington, DC, & San Juan, the highlight being a trip to Paris with the two granddaughters.Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years John Cottle, she is survived by her son, Michael Cottle, her daughter-in-law, Kristin Currie Cottle, both of Sugar Hill, Ga, and her two granddaughters, McKenzie Taylor Cottle and Sydney Marie Cottle and grand dog Sophie Cottle. Nancy is also survived by her brother in law Charles Allen Cottle, his wife Sheryl Hancock Cottle and their children Anna and Peter Cottle as well as brother in law Joseph Milton Brogdon Jr. and Weldon Ledbetter. In accordance with her wishes, Nancy was cremated. SCHULZE, William HenryWilliam Henry Schulze, 38, of Buford, GA passed away on February 24, 2024. Beloved husband of Danielle Schulze. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Blakely Skye Holliday, his son Sylas James, and twin daughters Keaton Mae and Payton Rose, his parents Skip and Candy, brother Scott, Grandfather Wiley and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.A resident of Buford, Wil attended Chattahoochee High School and the University of Georgia. At Chattahoochee High School, Wil was an attackman on the varsity lacrosse team that competed in the State Championship game. Lacrosse was one of his passions and joy. During his time at the University of Georgia Wil excelled with academics and had a 3.4 GPA.Wil worked at Northstar Tree Service company with his long-time friend and owner Jason Shwiller. As the Sales Manager, Wil advanced the company sales to record highs and loved the business. Wil later branched out as an independent Tree Service Broker with the same level of success. Wil developed a trusting relationship within the tree service industry and was extremely loyal to his customers and co-workers.Wil loved refurbishing tree service equipment, lacrosse, reading, and his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, wonderful son, and a great brother. His family was his whole life and he loved them dearly.A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road in Buford. Bill Lybrand, 82, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Buford, Georgia. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a graduate of Central High School class of 1959. Mr. Lybrand was a salesman for General Electric and had been an independent furniture representative. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morrell and Lillie Mae Johnson Lybrand; one sister, Martina and three brothers, Marlin, Melvis and Jimmy. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Rick) Holland and Belinda Parham; two grandchildren, Keith (Ashley) Parham and Patrick (Dayna) Parham; three great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Parham, Kason Parham and Paisley Parham; longtime girlfriend, Siriporn Reece. Of Plum, age 62, died on Friday, February 23, 2024. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Audrey (Wise) Morton. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Overbey (late William) of West Virginia: his brother Richard Morton (Deborah Salzer-Morton) of Edgewood; and his three nieces, Lisa and Heather George, and Megan Huether, all of Colorado. Tim was a graduate of Bethel Park High School and attended Penn State Behrend and earned his bachelor’s degree in Geology from Waynesburg University. While a youth in Bethel Park, Tim was a member of the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was employed as a Geologist in the field of geotechnical services, mostly in Western PA. Tim’s favorite pastime was building models of World War II tanks, ships, and airplanes. There will not be a visitation or service. Arrangements with Patrick T. A proud Navy veteran, Dale served on the USS Enterprise as a Jet Mechanic and took great pride in his service to his country. His love for the open road was matched only by his passion for his Harley and his skill in truck driving.Fargo's dedication to his family was unparalleled. Preceded in death by his loving Parents Forest and Jean Parks he is also preceded in death by his wife Lynda Darlene Parks. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his children: son Wynn Turner and daughter-in-law Paula Turner, daughter Summer Parks-Lepe and son-in-law William Lepe, daughter Jennifer Hernandez and son-in-law Joseph Hernandez, along with his cherished grandchildren Natalie Escobedo, Joel Reynoso, Andres Roman, Marcelo Hernandez, Issac Bercian, Joanna Lepe, Jasmine Lepe, Destiny Lepe, Christopher Lepe, Madison Turner, and Sky Turner. Born on October 16, 1940, to Peter Lamar Crawford, Sr., and Irene Thompson Crawford in Miami, FL, she embarked on a journey that would leave an indelible mark on everyone she touched.Lana's early years in Thomasville, GA, laid the foundation for a life of achievement and adventure. A proud alumna of Thomasville High School, her musical talent shone through her clarinet performances in the band. Her thirst for knowledge propelled her to Georgia Southern College, where she not only earned a BSEd with an emphasis in Math but also became the first in her family to graduate from college. It was during her student teaching at Metter High School in Metter, GA, that Lana met George Ronald Brown, her beloved husband of 61 years, weaving a love story that spanned continents.As a dedicated military spouse, Lana embraced the nomadic life with open arms, enriching her family's life with diverse cultures. Wherever she lived, she learned how to cook the local cuisine and could easily have been a tour guide in Florence, Italy. Lana's passion for education never waned. She obtained a Masters in Education from the University of Arizona, all while expecting her fourth child. Her innovative teaching techniques and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on her students.Above all, Lana's devotion to her family and her faith stood paramount. Her kitchen, often filled with the aroma of fresh herbs and her signature dishes, was a testament to her love for cooking and healthy living. Her skillful hands created heirloom needlework pieces, each stitch a symbol of her love and dedication.Lana's steadfast faith in Jesus illuminated her path, providing strength and comfort through trials and triumphs. Cherished for her fervent prayers, she believed deeply in the power of intercession, dedicating her later years to enveloping her family's future generations in prayerful protection. She was a member of Statesboro New Covenant Church and, later, Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to her community's spiritual life.The Brown family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Seniors Class at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church for their wonderful community of friendship, love, and support-Ron and Lana cherished your class deeply.
