Charlotte Tackett, 85, of Piketon, Ohio, passed at 4:10 a. m. Monday, June 20, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Charlotte was born February 28, 1937 in Beaver, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert Osborn Woods and Nellie Marie (Havens) Woods. On June 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to William James "Red" Tackett, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2006. Surviving are two sons, Dockie (Kelly) Tackett and Terry (Connie) Tackett, four grandsons, Brandon (Chelsea) Tackett, Nathan Tackett, Tyler Tackett and Taylor (Brooke) Tackett, three great-grandchildren, Jaxson Tackett, Jenna Tackett, and Calli Jo Tackett, and a brother, Robert (Pat) Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and six sisters, Violet Adams, Louella Rider, Joyce Woods, Esther Willis, Beatrice Boggs and Clara "Cuddy" Rider. Charlotte was a retired employee of AVI at USEC. Her loves in life were her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was ready to see her loved ones in Heaven, which gained an amazing cook. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p. m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio with Pastor Bud Brabson officiating.
