United States Army Veteran, Mr. Charles Eugene Bagley, Jr. of 110 Constitution Court, Albany, Georgia died Saturday, February 3, 2024. The funeral service, with military honors, will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Crisp County Middle School Gymnasium in Cordele, Georgia. On Thursday, August 1, 1968 Charles Eugene Bagley, Jr. was welcomed to this world. Born to Charles E. Bagley, Sr. and Roodyne Riley Bagley, he was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Chuck” or “Chucky”. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Bethel CME Church. Even as a child growing up in the public schools of Crisp County, Chucky had a way of always being the “life of the party.” He proudly graduated from the Crisp County High School in 1986. He went on to do further studying at Albany Technical College. Wherever he went, he left a lasting impression. From high school, to his service in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger, to his love for motorcycles, or just a simple chance encounter, nobody could forget Chuck. Family meant a great deal to him and he thoroughly enjoyed sharing his thoughts with those he loved the most. On Saturday, February 3, 2024 our father, grandfather, brother and friend, left this world. While our hearts will never completely mend, we are grateful for the many special memories shared over the years. His memory will be cherished by his children, Antonio Bagley of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicole Kotalik of Illinois, Rachel (Chris) Popham of Warner Robins, Georgia, Charles E. “Trey” Bagley, III of Decatur, Georgia, Dejour Shaquan “Quan” Colson of Cordele, Georgia, Akenyon (Luz) Bagley of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Leslie Dye of Texas, and Danielle Albritton of Albany, Georgia; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his father, Charles E. Bagley, Sr. of Cordele, Georgia; his sisters, Cheryl Bagley of Cordele, Georgia, Donshe Usher of McDonough, Georgia, LaToya Scott, Tameika Stokes, Natasha Shorter, and Belinda Sturgis Bagley of Rochester, New York; his aunts and uncles, Eddie (Gwen) Royal, Lovie (Lucius) Bagley, and Milton Holly of Cordele, Georgia, and Leon (Lisa) Crocker of Griffin, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews, to include, Brian Youman and Brandon Youman of Cordele, Georgia; many cousins, to include, Aubray (Lynda) Riley of Warner Robins, Georgia, Texana Royal of Cordele, Georgia, Lucius Reese of Washington, DC, and Teresa & Raye Harvey of McDonough, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends, to include, Tony King of Cordele, Georgia, Eddie Stubbs of Stockbridge, Georgia, Eugene Jones of Albany, Georgia, and Bradley Smith of Texas. ALBANY, GA.- David Michael McWilliams, 75, of Albany, died Friday, February 16, 2024, at his home.A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Born May 21, 1948, in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Clarence Russell McWilliams and Leona Seaman McWilliams. Mr. McWilliams was a Vietnam Veteran, having faithfully served his country in the US Navy as a Naval Construction Force Seabee. He was a welder and blacksmith who could make or repair almost anything on land or sea. Mr. McWilliams enjoyed taking photographs and was interested in all things relating to the history of Native American Indians. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Sue Johnson McWilliams; and a grandson, Michael Cerfus.Survivors include his children, Sue Ann Reyna and husband Joe, Sheryl Lynn Cerfus and husband Joey, Scotty Wayne McWilliams and wife Vivian; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy McWilliams Baker; special nephew, Ricky McWilliams and wife Libby; along with several extended family members and friends. Howard Burnette Cox, Jr., 84 of Albany, GA died Monday, February 12, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday February 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Philema Road Baptist Church. Rev. Aaron McCulley will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with military honors. A native of Albany, GA Mr. Cox spent most of his life in the law enforcement industry. He served in the United States Air Force as a security officer. Mr. Cox continued to serve after his active-duty service time as an officer at the Albany Police Department, Naval Air Station Albany, and Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church where he sung in the choir. Mr. Cox currently attends Philema Road Baptist Church with his son. Mr. Cox enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bargain hunting at local yard sales and estate sales He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Most of all he enjoyed his weekly lunch on Wednesday with his son Derrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Louise Cox a sister, Betty Powell and two nephews, Brian Cox and Brad Cox. Survivors include his son, Derrick Cox (Holly Strickland), a grandson, Ryan Thomas Cox and a brother Bobby Cox (Beverly). Donald Albert Dally, WO USMC (Ret.), 94, of Albany, GA, died February 16, 2024 at his residence surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Dunn will officiate and the USMC Honor Guard will provide Military Honors.Mr. Dally was born in Burt, Iowa on August 12, 1929 to Albert and Lucinda Dally. He grew up in St. Francis, KS and Los Angeles, CA where he graduated from Los Angeles City High School in 1947. Immediately after High School he joined the United States Marine Corps and served for twenty years and 1 month, retiring in 1967.Mr. Dally moved to Albany, GA in 1966, retired from the Marine Corps in 1967 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1973. Outside of the Marine Corps, his favorite job was while employed with the Parks of Chehaw as the Senior Naturalist from 1987 until 1999 where he continued to volunteer until 2013. Mr. Dally was a member of Radium Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, going to movies and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ruth Dally and a son, Lance Albert Dally.Survivors include his children, Tim (Renee’) Dally of Fredericksburg, VA, Candace Dally Macheers of Leesburg, GA, Mark (Medora) of South Dakota and Deborah Dally (Greg) Ward of Leesburg, GA, his step-children, Fred Edens of Lawrenceville, GA, Jane Edens (Doug) Waller of Kissimmee, FL and Arvel (Nancy) Edens of Bluffton, SC and five grandchildren, Jessica Maine (Mike) Akins, Dale Albert Maine, Chet M. Maine, Zachary (Lindsey) Dally and Morgan Dally. Private graveside services will be held.Born in Cotton, GA, then raised in Thomasville, GA where he graduated from High School, Mr. Davis eventually moved to Albany, GA. He worked in the insurance business, first with Life of Georgia and then becoming an independent agent until he retired. He was then able to spend his time doing what he loved most which was anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, gardening, and yardwork. All these activities he performed with excellence, never quitting until the job was done.Mr. Davis was known as "Pop" to his family whom he loved well. He was a true gentleman through and through. He was preceded in death by his parents, John David Davis and Thelma Williams Davis and a brother, Bo Davis.Survivors include his wife, Raelene H. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at First Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. David Postlewaite and Rev. Mark Walker will officiate. Born in Moultrie, GA to Robert E. and Evie L. May MacPhail, Latrelle was raised in Doerun, GA, graduating from Doerun High School in 1959. She met and married Jim Moore in 1961 and moved to Albany, GA. Latrelle was employed with Porter Paint Company as a Decorator for many years. Latrelle went back to school, graduating from Georgia Southwest University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education. During her career, she taught at Albany High School and Sherwood Christian School. She and Jim moved to Trenton, GA in 1995 and she taught at Dade County High School until returning to Albany in 2014. Latrelle was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and in her free time, Latrelle enjoyed gardening, doting on her grandchildren, reading, and Bible Study. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Moore. Survivors include her children, James Douglas "Doug" (Lynda) Moore of Waynesboro, GA and Susan Moore (Mark) Powell of Alhaurin de la Torre, Spain, a sister, Joan Everett of Baton Rouge, LA, a brother, Rodney MacPhail of St. Petersburg, FL and her grandchildren, Meredith Powell (David Santos) of Alhaurin de la Torre, Spain, Mark Evan (Sarah) Powell of Harrisonburg, VA, Ethan McKay Powell (Deborah Widmer) of Kandern, Germany, James Trenton (Julia) Moore of Augusta, GA and Addison Layne Moore of Waynesboro, GA. Born April 14, 1952 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late J.B. \u0026amp; Ollie Chastain. She was married to Harry Holley for 53 years, who survives. Mrs. Holley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family. She also loved getting her hair and nails done and spending time at the beach.
