BridgewaterCharlett R. Toris78, died October 5, 2023. Charlett was born in New Brunswick, raised in Sayreville and formerly of Malboro, NJ and MA, before moving to Bridgewater in 1977. She began her career as a Register Nurse in 1966, including many years as a Hospice Nurse at Somerset Medical Center Hospice, as well as being a RN Certified Case Manager for insurance companies. Charlett was a parishioner of St. Bernard RC Church in Bridgewater. She was an avid Somerset Patriots fan and lover of spy novels, pirates, narwhals, and cookies. She will be sadly missed by all. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Toris who died in 1999. Surviving are her sons Adam and Joseph, two sisters Christine White and Judith Gaston, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9-10am Saturday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville followed by a 10:30am mass at St. Bernard RC Church in Bridgewater. Interment of ashes will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Jean (Giordano) Balsamo passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 92 years old. Jean was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Toms River with her late husband, Dominick, in 1990. She has resided in Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. since 2018. She was a loving, caring, and feisty person who was loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and most of all cherished the time spent with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Balsamo in 2018, her mother, Mary Correnti in 2005, and her brother, Salvatore Giordano in 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Albanese and her husband Salvatore of Monroe Twp. , one grandson, Ralph Calabro and his wife Jennifer, two great grandsons, Christopher Calabro, and Nicholas Calabro, and one brother, Vincent Giordano. She is also survived by one niece, Lucille Dowd and her husband Bob, and two nephews, Anthony Giordano and his wife Tanya, and Salvatore Giordano and his wife Denise. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 and from 10-11am on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Joseph C. D'Angiolillo, of Milltown passed away on Thursday, November 30th at St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick at the age of 88. He always considered his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as his greatest wealth providing him with great joy. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he lived in North Brunswick and South Brunswick before moving to Milltown in 2018. He was a self-employed realtor, working in Franklin Park. He was also a US Marine Corp veteran, serving during the Korean War. Joseph was a graduate of St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick, where he played football and later served on the Alumni Reunion Committee. He was a founding member and active volunteer at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church in Kendall Park where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Joseph was a fan and season ticket holder for Rutgers Football. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Anne K. Fritz G. Noel, 73, of Middlesex died November 28, 2023, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born June 30, 1950 in Cayes, Haiti. Fritz has resided in Middlesex for the past 11 months and Irvington for many years. Fritz G. Noel was a driving school owner and instructor who was very loved by his students for his amazing ability to teach and remain calm. He served as an elder in various Seventh-day Adventist churches; led as department chair for numerous church ministries including youth, education, health, pathfinders and family ministries; was a colporteur in the United States and Director of Youth Community Center in New Jersey. He was a beloved teacher missionary for 13 years in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) where he planted churches, taught at the secondary school, served as school administrator and ministered to the sick (he joyously built a relationship with everyone including an unwavering commitment to praying, teaching and laughing with people with leprosy). Fritz is survived by his wife, Anne Marie, to whom he was married for 43 years; a son, Samuel Noel and his wife, Sandie Noel; a son Daniel Noel and his wife Kate Noel; a daughter Rachel Theka and her husband Elie Theka; a daughter Joelle Noel St. Fleur and her husband Guychard St. Fleur; a fils adoptif Jehoshaphat Tetteh and his wife Lucinda; and 12 grandchildren Joanna, Samuel, Abigail, Brielle, Jonathan, Nathanael, Priscille, Ryan, Zurielle, Jeremiah, Jemimah and Noah; and 7 siblings Michel Percy, Marie Ghisline Percy, Marie Geralde Alexis, Ditan Percy, Anne Baptiste, Marcelle Percey, Pastale Percy. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor, educator and will be truly missed. On Angel’s Wings You Were Taken Away But In Our Hearts, You Will Always Stay! In Loving Memory of William F. Crosby III Born June 19, 1937 William F. Crosby III, of North Plainfield, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at home. He was 86. Born in Newark and raised in Irvington and Iselin NJ, he moved to North Plainfield 54 years ago. Bill has been working for Somerset County for the past 29 years. He started as Director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. He currently was the Director of the Office of Volunteer Services, which he helped create. Bill loved his job and all the people he worked with. Previously he worked as a salesman for several years for Lindquist Steel (Bethlehem Steel), and Glassover Mack & Williams Surgical. Bill then started his own company, Crosby Marketing, selling surgical stockings. In between sales he also selected products in a Nabisco warehouse. Bill served in the United States Army for 6 years in Southeast Asia, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 265 and the United States Army Historical Foundation. He was a World War II history buff and enjoyed reading history books. A Life Well Lived! As Bill said, "I am a lucky man, I had a really great Life!" Bill was a family man and did so much for his family, friends and his community. Bill was always the first to lend a helping hand. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield and a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and Knights of Columbus. He also was President for 15 years of the Knights of Columbus Division #4 Union County. Bill was an Exempt Fireman for North Plainfield Fire Department and their Call Force, and a member of the Iselin Volunteer Fire Department. He served 15 years as President and Life Member of the NJ Exempt Firemen’s Association, and a Life Member of the NJ State Firemen’s Association. Bill served as Councilman and Council President of the North Plainfield Borough Council, for 6 years. He was Municipal Chairman of the North Plainfield Republican Organization and was Vice Chair of the Somerset County Republican Organization. He was an Alternate Delegate for the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia and New York. He also was a commissioner for the Somerset County Park Commission for 18 years, a founding member of the Greenbrook Flood Control Commission and a member of the Plainfield Area Regional Sewerage Authority. Bill was a proud owner of a Firefighter Harley Davidson Motorcycle and was a member of the National Harley Owners Group. "There is nothing like a beautiful ride on a summer day. " Bill was a fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He and his son were season ticket holders to the Giants and enjoyed going to the games together. He also enjoyed watching and playing golf with his family and friends. He’s predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen (Bermingham) Crosby (d. 2009), his grandson Ryan Crosby (d. 2022), his parents William F. Jr. and Helen (Brady) Crosby, and his sisters Maureen Crosby and Joan Somers. Surviving are his loving children, his sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Shellie Crosby of Sanford, FL; Richard and Kristine Crosby of Edison, and Michael Crosby and Eva Holmgren of Fuqua-Varina, NC; his daughter Tara Crosby of Bethlehem PA; his cherished grandchildren Brandon Crosby, Genna Boatwright (Greg), Amanda Ganci (Joe), and William and Caitlin Srager; also surviving are his great grandchildren Ariel Crosby, Grayson and Gavin Boatwright and Evander Ganci. Parlin Anthony "Tony" Daniel Contegiacomo, age 73, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Daniel and Marion Contegiacomo, Tony also lived in Staten Island before settling in Old Bridge 30 years ago. Before his retirement, Tony was a plant operator for an Asphalt company in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Tony was a loyal fan of the New York Jets and loved playing cards. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles in his younger years and was a drummer in many bands growing up. However, there was nothing more important to Tony than his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren as family was always his greatest passion. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Tony is predeceased by his parents and by his brother Robert Contegiacomo. Surviving is his beloved wife of 38 years Catherine Contegiacomo (Greco) of Old Bridge; his loving children Anthony Contegiacomo, Jr. and his wife Miranda of FL, Karen Contegiacomo of FL, Lisa Contegiacomo of Clementon, Albert Contegiacomo and his fiancee Helen D'Amico of Old Bridge, and Danielle Contegiacomo of Old Bridge; his dear grandchildren Ron, Mirandas, Anthony III, Jayshaun, Mikayla, Mikey, Morgan, Vincent, John, Robert, and Reagan; his brother Daniel Contegiacomo and wife Debbie of Morganville; as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
