Charles G. Swanson age 29 of Camp Douglas, WI. passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. Charles was the son of Donald Swanson and Kelly (VanNess) Swanson and was born on February 8, 1993, in Racine, WI. Charles was raised and lived in Elroy until he was 17 and then the family moved to Camp Douglas. He graduated from Elroy High School in 2011. Charles had a special bond with his sister Krystal, he loved hanging out with her. He enjoyed playing games on his PlayStation, watching wrestling, and racing, and talking with his best friend Jake. He enjoyed and collected pictures of old cars and wildlife. Charles was a man of few words, with the biggest smile. Charles is survived by his mother, Kelly Swanson of Camp Douglas, his father, Donald Swanson of Camp Douglas, his sister, Krystal Swanson of Camp Douglas, a maternal grandparent Sandra Jackson of Camp Douglas, an Aunt Kim (Dave) Khollman of New Lisbon, cousins, Amber Tupper of Tomah, and Brandon Tupper of Tomah and by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents John (Charlotte) Swanson, Uncle Eddie Swanson, Aunt Leilani Murphy, Step grandpa Alan Jackson and an Uncle Thomas Petersen. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 27th, 2022, at 11:00a. m. at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W. Pearl St. ) in New Lisbon. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday at the Hare Funeral Home from 10:00am until the time of service. Rev. Deb Burkhalter presiding.
