Jerry Miller Bolton, 86 of Leesburg, GA., died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Willson Hospice House. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. Rev. Bobby Harrell will officiate.He was born in Pahokee, FL., to the late James Benton and Bessie Claire Chambless Bolton and later moved to Terrell County. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James Benton Bolton, Jr.He adored his wife of 65 years and was devoted father and grandfather to his two daughters and three grandchildren.He was employed and retired from Engineering and Equipment Company with over 40 years of service. Mr. Bolton was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg.Survivors include his wife Anne Greene Bolton of Leesburg, GA., two daughters, Sherry Baker (Burt) of Cordele, GA., and Lori Steers of Savannah, GA., three grandchildren, Lee Anne Miller (Stephen) of Dallas, TX., Kyle Steers of Kernersville, NC., and Jonathan Baker of North Augusta, SC., a brother-in-law, Edd Greene (Mary), nieces Trena Davis, Tonya Steele and Pam Mount. Funeral services for Harry Lee Palmer, 83, of Leesburg will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Andrew Kornegay will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. Born August 3, 1940 in Meigs he was the son of the late David Nathaniel and Ethel Lee Ott Palmer. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and retired supervisor of printing for the Federal State Inspection Service and served his country in the United State Air Force. He was married for 62 years to Emma Elizabeth Dees of Leesburg who survives. Other survivors include his son, Wesley Nathaniel Palmer (Kacey); daughter, Annza Palmer Reed (Bobby Gerald); granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth Forrister; grandson, Grayson Tucker Reed all of Leesburg; granddaughter, Rachel Reed Yoder (Nathan Yoder, Jr.) of Montezuma; great grandsons, Liam Elijah Hall of Tallahassee and Atlas Tyrion Hall of Dawson and great granddaughter, Thea Elise Hall of Leesburg and numerous much loved nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ottis Palmer, Deloy Palmer, Hollis Palmer, Dewey Palmer, and Buford Palmer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Rev. Flora Bea Ramsey, 93, of Lee County, saw the face Jesus the one she so loved and adored in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 20, 2024.Born on March 19, 1930, in Leesburg, GA, Rev. Ramsey was the daughter of the late Howard S. Dudley and Zadie Smith Dudley. Rev. Remsey attended Rhema Bible College and was an ordained Pentecostal minister of The Gospel. She lovingly proclaimed the precious word of God to anyone who would listen. She lived in Caribelle, FL for 21 years where she was a faithful member of Caribelle Church of God. Rev. Ramsey and her late husband, "Papa Dude" owned a charter fishing company there and made many friends through the years. Rev. Ramsey was currently a member of Life Church of Leesburg where she taught the Adult Sunday School Class faithfully for many years. Her devoted love for Jesus, gentle spirit, and great faith will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her until we meet again in Heaven. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Rev. Brenda Morris of Lee County, Jon and Julie Ramsey of Albany, and Mark Ramsey of Albany; 3 grandchildren, Barry, David, and Jon Nicholas.  Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Joseph W. Carroll Lewis Tennison, 89, of Leesburg, GA passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel. Interment will follow on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Poulan City Cemetery. Rev. John Spencer will officiate. The pain, hurt, and long suffering is gone! Carroll was born to Clyde and Ethel Tennison on October 18, 1934 in New Summerfield, TX. He started his employment as a grocery bag boy at a Piggly Wiggly Store in Jacksonville, TX. While in Texas, he went to work for Piggly Wiggly Corporation Corporate offices in Jacksonville, FL and moved up from Special Representative to Regional Vice President. In Texas he called on stores in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. After moving to Georgia, he called on stores in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and South Carolina. He was employed with Piggly Wiggly Corporation for thirty years. Carroll is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Hattie. God gave them a beautiful life together. She traveled with him as he worked and they had a very special marriage. He was an only child. When he married Hattie, he gained two brothers and four sisters and many special nephews and nieces. He is also survived by two sons and their wives, Carroll, Jr. (Joey) and Mike (Heather), three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Carroll was a Gideon and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
