Anne Ferguson Marr was a vibrant soul, one who literally lit up a room whenever she entered. Her fiery red hair gave insight right away into the tenacity of this lady. The adventures, the family, the friends, the prizes, and most of all the memories were the treasures she held dear to her heart. Anne believed in a quality of life that included manors, style, and a refined taste for all things grand. She traveled and found herself living out adventures, and sharing her stories well into her old age. She had a love for people evident by her many years as a nurse and care provider. She loved all of God’s creatures, but her poodles held a special place in her heart. Anne always had a story to tell and an adventure to share. Hers was a life well lived, one adventure after another, and she will be missed. Anne was a daughter, a sister, a wife, an auntie, and a friend to so many. She was born July 5, 1928, and left this Earth on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Peter and Agnus Ferguson, her husband James Marr, three sisters, Blanch Groth, Evelyn Lada, and Madeline Bottoms Wilson, her companion Phil Andrews, and other direct family members. She rejoices now that she is once again with them and with so many friends that went before her. Anne, we will miss your spirit and fire! Your mark has been made. Rest easy and God speed. Until we meet again! Services will take place in the spring at Fort Custer National Cemetery where she will be interred with her husband.
