"Charles "Chuck" R. Haynes Jr. , age 61, of Warren, passed away on September 10, 2023. He was born on February 6, 1962, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. At the age of 17, Chuck joined the United States Navy, which helped him find his passion for his mechanical abilities. Chuck spent much of his life working on cars and boats, but had a special fascination with semi-trucks. Chuck loved his dog Sadie, his friends and having a good time. His favorite times were spent on or near the water, with a deep love of cars, boats and being outside. Chuck is survived by his mother, Peggy Haynes, children; Tiffany (Michael) Gonzalez, Grant (Kallie) Moore and Mark (Nora Moore) Kirkbride, grandchildren; William, Ava Rae and Dianne, siblings; Vickie (Clyde) Messinger and Sharon (Larry) Gerald, along with many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Haynes Sr. Friends and family will celebrate his life in a private gathering. Richard W. LaBelle of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Port Huron, Michigan, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. He was the son of Felix and Jeannette LaBelle who have since passed, as has his sister Gloria Morris. Richard developed his loving and caring attitude towards others from his loving mother and his grandmother Frances Martin who "lent" him about ten thousand dollars over his youth fifty cents at a time. Richard graduated from St. Stephens High School in Port Huron where he was taught "others before self". He gives credit to his high school coach and mentor for instilling in him a confidence and never give up attitude. After graduation he served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Ranger in both the Atlantic and Pacific. After his service in the Navy, Richard married Judith M. Nixon of Port Huron. Judith sacrificed her time, energy, and gave her total devotion to providing for him and her three sons, Richard L. of Detroit, Christopher S. (Renee) of Boardman, Ohio, and Michael J. (Lisa) of Livonia, who are now successful professionals with college degrees. Judith preceded Richard in death. Richard worked in the field of mental health as a Master 's Degreed Social Worker for forty-five years and spent the last twenty-five years before retirement as the district social worker at Flushing Community Schools in Flushing, Michigan. He was the long serving President of the FEA, additionally coaching boys basketball, girls powderpuff football, boys golf, and other sports. Later in life Richard shared many years of friendship, marriage, and life with Ariane Jones of Saginaw Michigan, and many years of companionship and joy with Daniel Miller. Richard leaves behind his five wonderful grandchildren: Molly of Mt. Pleasant, Delaney and Ashton of Boardman, Ohio, and Caleb and Chloe LaBelle of Novi; and bonus family of K. C. (Anne) Jones, Hayden Graham, Mardi Del Jones, Dennis, Gwenevere, Kenneth, and Brenna. FUNERAL: A memorial service for Richard will take place at 2 p. m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State Street). Pastoral Minister Tori Little will officiate with military honors to follow. VISITATION: Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. "Terry J. Simpson, age 63 of Goodells, passed away on November 25, 2023 in his home, with his family by his side. He was born on April 4, 1960 in Port Huron. He married Barbara J. Pryor on May 19, 1990 in Homestead, Florida. Terry attended Motec Auto Mechanic School and graduated from Port Huron High School in 1978. He worked for Blue Water Lift Truck for over 38 years. Terry loved spending time up north with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and boating. Terry also enjoyed spending time his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Simpson, children; Nicole (Doug Csizmadia) Simpson, Jessica Rumble, Sonya (Scott) Graham, Heather (Dave) Kraus, and Brian (Michelle) Simpson, parents; Joseph Simpson and Nancy Simpson, brother, William (Janie) Simpson, sister, Debbie (John) Lehto, brothers-in-law, William (Waneta) Pryor and Rod (Lori) Pryor, sisters-in-law, Joanie (Gary) Williams and Cheryl (Norm Roberts) Zielke, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear friends, Chuck and Lisa Wilson and his furbaby, Winston. Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents; William Glen and Rose Harrison, his godparents. His accomplishments as a builder pale in comparison to the love and care he showed his family and friends. Jeff was a beloved husband, father, brother and son. He shared an unbreakable bond with his wife of 39 years, Brigitte, and together they built a beautiful life filled with music, travel and adventure! "Sandra J. "Sandy" Krotzer Maness, age 65, of Port Huron, passed away unexpectedly, on November 15, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Paul and Dorothea Krotzer. She married Edwin C. Maness on May 22, 1998, in Port Huron. Sandy always had a beautiful smile on her face and had a huge heart when it came to helping others and loved to make people happy. Sandy had many favorite things to do, she loved sitting at the St. Clair River waterfront with her loving husband, as they watched the freighters pass by with their horns blowing as they passed. She loved decorating and cooking for her favorite holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and baking birthday cakes. Another one of her favorite things to do was to cuddle and watch her favorite T. V shows and listen to her favorite country music. Sandy graduated from Jefferson Adult Learning Center, she attended St. Clair County Community College and transferred to Baker College, where she graduated as a nursing assistant. Sandy is survived by her beloved husband, Edwin Clinton Maness of 26 years. She had four loving sons who cherished her deeply, Randy, Bruce, Jeremy Krotzer and Steven Snyder. She had a loving brother, Mike Krotzer and sister-in-law, Madeline Krotzer; her loving sister Karen Krotzer-Czeck and had many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends, all who loved her very much. May your body be at peace and may your soul fly high with the great spirit and creator of all things, and by her side, her dear son, Tommy Snyder and her brothers; Tom and Gary Krotzer.
