| | Charles Lewis French III, age 73, passed Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Charlie was born in Wolfeboro, N. H. on August 9, 1950, to Charles French Jr and Beatrice French. He was raised in Wolfeboro, NH. Charlie is survived by his siblings, Martha French, Barbara French, Peter French, John French, and Sarah Bowman. Charles AKA Charlie, Chuck or Chas, was passionate about many things but first and foremost was fishing. Charlie fished the world over, from the Sub Artic to New Zealand to Chile and Marlin fishing in Mexico. If there was a honey hole Chas ever visited he was there to fish. He loved nature and animals. The other thing he loved was work and the people he worked with. Every meeting that took place at work would end with a "Charlieism". Although these stories revolved around propane, you could always count on humor and a life lesson. He had recently received his 30 year anniversary pin with AmeriGas in Laconia, N. H. as a gas technician. He had years of empirical knowledge, was a great mentor and teacher. He was an avid reader and preferred a physical book or newspaper. He loved languages and was fluent in Spanish and was quite the word smith. He had a cynical view of the world and knew the reality of human nature. This in turn made him and extremely funny and many friends said he could do standup comedy. Yet he had a shy side and preferred to stay in the background. Brother Charlie and friend you will truly be missed. In the echoes of time you may be on a lake and here a whisper saying "tight line, FISH ON. " You go Charlie, fish on. | | Marilyn (Zsazsa, Minu, Mo, Mary-Loon) Breselor died suddenly on October 27, 2023. She was born on July 28, 1950 to Irving and Shirley (Kosman) Breselor, and lived in the Bronx until the family moved upstate. She graduated from Colonie Central High School and Smith College before moving to the Upper Valley and raising her own children with husband Dan. Marilyn enjoyed a brief midlife detour to San Francisco but returned to New Hampshire to be a grandmother. Marilyn filled her life with the people, objects, and activities that brightened her days. She was a connoisseur of miniatures and novelty socks, a collector of cameras and commemorative presidential plates, and a diehard patron of the LISTEN Center. A skilled yet unaccomplished artist, she dabbled over the years in knitting and fiber arts, classical guitar, choral singing, and ceramics. She could and would harmonize with any melody, and was known for (almost) completing a queen-sized quilt made entirely of clothing labels, a truly obsessive masterpiece. She knew about birds, gardening, and cooking, though her expertise did not always manifest in visible or practical ways. She also loved word puzzles and games, reveling in the minutiae of vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation. A gifted gift giver and good neighbor, Marilyn was always up for an adventure, from a fool's errand to Ocean State Job Lot to a hike up Kilimanjaro. She showed us how to live fully, taking care of others and herself along the way. We loved her so much. Marilyn is survived by her family: Abby Harrington (Michael), Peter Logan, Dan Logan, Frank Breselor (Judy), Suzanne Breselor Lowell (Neil), Sara Breselor (Carrie Morrison), Ellis, Lane, and Mae Harrington, and her beloved Pippa. Rosa "Rosalie" DeNike passed peacefully surrounded by family at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH on 31 October 2023 at the age of 95 years, 11 months, and 25 days. Rosalie is survived by her sister Hanna Bochsler of Switzerland, children Edward DeNike III and wife Alice of Enfield, Dorothy DeNike and fiance Scott Whitham of Lebanon, and Ann DeNike of Plymouth, MA, grandchildren Heather Shepard and husband Jeff of Claremont, Kelby Faessler and wife Lindsey of Amherst, Karl Faessler and wife Casey of Denver CO, & Evan Foster and wife Jackie of Encinitas, CA, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by a son Timothy DeNike, grandson Garreth Foster of Plymouth, MA, and her sisters Leni Meier, Ruth Burger, and Hedi Mounir, all of Switzerland. Rosalie was born on 7 November 1927 in Niederweningen, Switzerland to Heinrich & Rosa (Suter) Wenziker. She grew up in nearby Lengnau, the oldest of five sisters. She completed hotel/hospitality training and worked several years in that field. After meeting an American couple there, she began working for them as an au pair and moved with them to the NYC area in 1954. She learned English by watching TV and reading newspapers. She married and had her children while living in Norwalk, CT. She became a naturalized US citizen in 1964. In 1969, Rosalie moved to Randolph, VT with her three children as it reminded her of her home in Switzerland. There she worked for a local florist and Green Mountain Glove Factory. Eventually, she opened her own florist shop, The Rosebud, which served the surrounding towns for a number of years. She was a long-time active member of the Randolph Rotary. She was passionate about cooking for family and friends; Dave Foster in particular looked forward to those family dinners. She made dozens of traditional Swiss Christmas cookies every year to the delight of everyone who received them. She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, and made beautiful quilts. There will be a celebration of life next year when the flowers are blooming at Grant Camp in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Jack Byrne Center or the Randolph Rotary Club. Col. Edgar D. Filiault (retired), passed away peacefully at his home on October 28, 2023, at the age of 92. He attributes his longevity to his daily beers and Crown Royal night cap. Ed was born in Springfield MA and settled in Chicopee MA with his wife, Beverly (Breault) and children before moving to NH in 1975. Ed joined the MA National Guard in 1948 at the age of 17 and remained active until his retirement 43 years later. He was extremely proud of his service and always willing to share his stories of the military years he experienced. Being a very loyal and dedicated man, he worked for very few employers. Hostess Bakeries for 18 years before starting his own Home Medical Equipment Company, Keene Medical Products, Inc. in 1975. After successfully building the business, he retired and relocated to Florida with his wife, Beverly, in 1995. Ed was a loving and devoted husband to Beverly, who he has dearly missed since her passing in 2021 and they are surely happy to be reunited. Sadly, he will be missed by their children, Kim Thompson (Carl Olejarz), Keith Filiault (Jessica), Kurt Filiault (Nancy), Kelly Filiault, Gary Robbins, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Roland and sister, Stella Metzger. Frances Hanchett

Frances "Frani" Hanchett, 77, of Lebanon, NH passed away on October 26, 2023. She was born July 12, 1946 to Helen (Stone) and Errold "Buster" Hanchett in Hanover, NH. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. She attended beauty school in Westbrook, Maine and then worked at the Modern Beauty Shop. She also worked for Decato and Cirone Law Office and then Dartmouth College in the Philosophy and Religion Dept. In 1965, she married Dennis Dupuis and they moved to Florida in 1994. They divorced in 2009 and she moved back to the Upper Valley. Some of her greatest accomplishments were that she documented all the cemeteries in the Upper Valley and put them all on the FindAGrave Website. She loved researching her roots. She even found some distant relatives in Ireland. She and her sister Pam had the trip of a lifetime in Ireland and connected with these relatives and kept in touch with them. She spearheaded her own project "Adopt a Civil War Veteran" where she received donations for military type stones for the Civil War veterans without military recognition. She was able to get 85/101 veterans the recognition they deserved. She was the first woman City Historian for Lebanon and was also the Lebanon Historical Society President. She is predeceased by her father (2007), her mother (2015), her sister (2020) and her ex-husband (2014). She is survived by her two children, Lisa (Dupuis) Wentworth and husband Doug along with her son, David Dupuis and his wife Dawn. She has three grandchildren, Mikala and Jordan Wentworth, along with Ethan Dupuis. She is also survived by her sister Noreen (Rick) Lessard along with nieces and nephews. | | | Lebanon, NH -- Cornelia "Bonnie" Wallin passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023, at the Jack Byrne Center, with her husband, Carl, by her side. Bonnie was a Lebanon High School English teacher, an actress, a curator in Special Collections at Dartmouth College, where she received her Master's degree, and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Bonnie was born August 21, 1944, to Mary and John Brown in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and raised in Stratford, Connecticut. As a teenager, she was an usher and apprentice at the Stratford Shakespeare Theater, where she developed her love for the performing arts. After graduating from Frank Scott Bunnell High in 1962, she attended the University of Bridgeport, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1966. Bonnie taught English in Groton, Connecticut where she met a physical education teacher and track coach, Carl Wallin. Opposites attract, and they married in 1967. They settled in Lebanon, New Hampshire, raising their two children and building their lives there. Bonnie loved theater, music, art, literature and dancing, but especially loved making people laugh with her quick wit and intelligence. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Mary and John Brown, and her sister, Ann Simone. She leaves her husband, Carl Wallin, of Lebanon, New Hampshire; son, John (Reidun) Wallin of Hamden, Connecticut; daughter, Lisa (Jon) LeClair of Stoughton, Massachusetts; and four amazing grandsons, Torsten Wallin, Soren Wallin, Sawyer LeClair, and Tyr Wallin, whom she loved very much. | | | Raymond A. Miller Jr. , a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on October 22, 2023. He loved his high school sweetheart, Maryann, more than anything, but she would argue his RV was a close second. They spent ten years wintering in Arizona and their love for travel together took them on many cross-country adventures. From dogsledding in Alaska and riding mopeds in Hawaii to camping in the mountains of Wyoming, they visited almost every state! Growing up in Mendon, MA, he enjoyed showing his exhibition poultry at various fairs in New England. When they moved to New Hampshire, he purchased a sawmill and went on to continue logging for 20 years. He was passionate about providing for and unconditionally loving his family. Ray and Maryann raised their three girls to be strong, compassionate, and persistent (sometimes stubborn!). He was proud to watch his girls pass these values on to their children, and see his family cherish time together just as much as he did. Ray is survived by the love of his life whom he was married to for 64 years, Maryann Strobeck; their three daughters Debbie (Tom) Weiss of Rome, NY, Donna Tibbetts of Lebanon, NH, and Karen (Jerry) Seamans of Canaan, NH; five grandchildren Kristen Weiss, Tucker Tibbetts, Emily Seamans, Katie (Scott) DeFranco-Norton, and Kaitlyn (James) Peters; and two great grandchildren Leah and Emma. | | | Clarke Page Dustin passed away peacefully Saturday, October 14, 2023, two days after celebrating his 89th birthday with his family. He was a treasured parent and grandparent, and will be much missed and fondly remembered. The youngest child of True P. Dustin and Bertha (Clarke) Dustin, Clarke was born October 12, 1934 in Berlin, New Hampshire and spent his childhood there hunting and fly fishing, skiing and hiking in the White Mountains. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, he married the love of his life, Carol Whyte Dustin, and taught history at Gorham High School. A few years later, after completing his M. Ed, he joined the Guidance department at Hanover High School, and remained passionate about his work there until he retired in 1999. After retirement, Clarke continued to value community, playing golf with friends, serving the Town of Lebanon on the Conservation Commission and as a dedicated volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. Clarke's many interests and pursuits filled his life with joy and inspired his family. In the summers, through his early years in teaching, he worked to build ranger stations on Mt. Washington. He loved wood - and the woods. Over the years, he remained interested in building and restoration and developed his skills as a furniture maker and wood sculptor along the way; his childrens' homes are filled with beautiful and functional objects he created or restored. His curiosity led him to explore and master a wide variety of skills and arts, from chair caning to fly-tying to watercolor painting to furniture making, upholstering and restoration. He especially loved history, art and architecture and, after retirement, he and Carol explored museums and communities all over the U. S. . His children all grew up inspired by his example and passions and reflect these in their own pursuits. Clarke's family was both his foundation and a source of joy. He and Carol were married for 61 years and their time together and with their family was always their first priority. Clarke took great pride in the growth and development of his children and grandchildren and treasured time with each of them. Clarke was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol, who passed away in 2018. His parents and his three siblings, Margaret Batchelder, Dorothea Nolette and Charles Dustin predeceased him, as well. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Sarah Whyte, of Sacramento, CA, and his four children, Lauren Dustin of Springfield, VT, Scott Dustin and his wife Sue Jackson of Lee, NH, Lisa Dustin and her husband John Hanson of Philadelphia, PA and Leslie Dustin and her husband Todd Thompson of Norwich, VT, and by his seven beloved grandchildren, Dustin Catignani of Brookfield, CT, Haley and Kelsey Dustin of Lee, NH, Hannah and True Hanson of Philadelphia, PA and Rosey and Gus Thompson of Norwich, VT. Clarke's family is deeply grateful for the kindness and care of the staff at The Village at White River Junction, where he lived from 2020 until the end of his life. Patricia L. Chase, 81, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday October 13, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born in North Haverhill, NH to the late Elmore & Emma (Spooner) Johnson. Patricia grew up on a farm in North Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill Academy. She was married to Merrill "Cy" Lynaugh, (predeceased). She later married a childhood friend Richard Chase. Patricia had worked for Citizens Bank for thirty five plus years. In retirement, Pat enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. She spent her last several winters enjoying the warm Florida winters. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Richard Chase, her children Wendy Irwin and her husband Clarence, James Lynaugh (Deceased) and his widow Susan, Paul Lynaugh and his wife Karen, step-son Rick Chase and his wife Jenn, siblings Peter Johnson and his wife Anne, Barbara MacNamee and her partner Jerry Johnson, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Connie Patch, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023, at the age of 89. Connie worked at the Lebanon Pharmacy (later McNeil's Drugstore) throughout high school and passionately volunteered in the local schools after her marriage to Richard Patch. They were married for 71 years prior to her passing. Connie had a deep passion for the mountains of Vermont, where she found her peace while surrounded by nature. Her love for bird watching and wildlife brought her immense joy and connected her with the beauty of the natural world. Whether hiking, tending to her pond and tame bass fish, or simply enjoying a book - her camp in Vermont was where Connie found solace. Connie's life was a testament to her appreciation for nature and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her warm smile and gentle spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Steven, Trevor, and Riley, and as a great-grandmother to Laney. Connie was predeceased by her son, Steve and daughter Kathy, and is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her son Doug, daughter in law Marta, her daughter Cheryl, and son-in-law Don. Her memory will forever be cherished by her grandchildren (Steven, Trevor, Riley) and great-granddaughter Laney. Her. memory will live on with every sunrise and sunset on Patch Camp Road.
