Charles Norman Chaytor April 13, 1938 - June 19, 2022 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Charles Chaytor announce his peaceful passing on June 19, 2022. Charlie is pre-deceased by his parents, Helen and Fred Chaytor, his adoring sisters, Amelia Colford and Jane Kinsman, sister-in-law Livie (Bob) Ryan, and brother-in-law George (Carol) Lane. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his one true love, wife of 60 years, Mae Chaytor (née Lane); His four children, Elaine (John) Pike, Dianne (Gary) Crocker, Fred (Marilyn Noel), and Paul (Carol Ann Williams); His treasured grandchildren Jessica (Gary), Rebecca (Mike), Travis (Andrea), Nicole (Lisa), Michael, Andrew (Farren), Beth (Ryan), Eric (Millie), Kaitlyn (Johnny), Emily (Daniel), Alex (Lesley), Jacob and Dawson, and two precious great grandsons Colton and Oliver; Sisters-in-law Shirley (Frank) Holloway, Phyllis (Bill) Wiseman, Muriel Boone (Tony), and brother-in-law Harvey (Kathleen) Lane; Special friends of over 40 years Don and Bethann Coaker, and a large circle of Nieces, Nephews and friends. Charlie will forever be remembered by the CN Pensioners’ Association, the Mount Pearl Soccer Association, his Mount Pearl walking buddies, and the Tim Horton’s coffee crowd. The family would like to send a special thank you to Achok, Kayla, Linda and Matilda, the staff of the Health Science Centre, the nurses of 4 North A, Tonya Lane RN, Dr. Stewart Rourke, Dr. Karen Downton, and Dr. Susan MacDonald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, between 2-4 and 7-9 at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:00 am from Barrett’s Chapel in Mount Pearl. Memorial donations in memory of Charlie can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of NL. Flowers are also gratefully accepted.
