Obituary of Charlene C. Tobin Charlene Catherine Tobin, a longtime local resident, passed away on February 9, 2019 in White Plains, N.Y. at the age of 67. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Yorio) Anselmo. She was raised in Ardsley, where she attended Ardsley High School and then continued her education, graduating from Iona College in New Rochelle. It was at Iona College that she met her beloved husband of 45 years Edward Tobin. After college she launched her career as an insurance adjuster before becoming a real estate agent in Rye, NY. As a real estate agent for more than 25 years she was consistently a top producer in Westchester County and was a recognized leader in the industry. She considered herself blessed to have made so many friends over the years, many of whom were clients. Outside of her professional life, Charlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother and very proud "Mimi" who cherished time spent with her family, especially in Cape Cod, MA where after years of vacations she built a family home where many memories were created and enjoyed. Charlene and Ed retired to Naples, FL in 2015 and made many wonderful friends in their new home. She enjoyed all that life in Florida had to offer and participated in a variety of activities including book club, "Bio Babes," Mahjongg, Golf and Bocce. She was always up for a fun night out and was known for being the first one on the dance floor. In addition to her husband Ed, she is survived by her daughters Chrissy Hazelton and Lauren Tobin; her son-in-law Christopher Hazelton; and three wonderful grandchildren: Thomas, Charlotte and Teddy Hazelton. A wake will be held in Rye, NY, followed by a funeral service held at St. Gregory's Church in Harrison, and interment in Orleans Cemetery in Cape Cod, MA. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will follow for her many friends in Naples, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Charlene's name to the Animal Rescue League in Brewster, MA.
