"Charlene Frances Hayes, 77, of Torrington Wyoming, passed away on September 27, 2023, due to Hepatorenal Syndrome at Poudre Valley Hospital, surrounded by family. Born Charlene Frances Lovelett on February 16, 1946, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Clint and Valera (Huddle) Lovelett. Charlene married Walter Hayes on May 9, 1981. They lived in Cheyenne until they moved to Torrington Wyoming in December of 2020 to be closer to Kim and the grand kids. She started working for the City of Cheyenne in the IT Department, as a data processing technician on May 7, 1984. She retired from the City on June 30, 2020. She loved her time at the City and all of the people who worked there! Charlene was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, joining in 1966. She was currently serving as president of Laureate Zeta chapter and treasurer of Beta Sigma Phi City Council. She received the 50 year Golden Circle member and was awarded the Cheyenne Distinction Recipient in 2016. She was sweetheart and Woman of the year many times. She loved and cherished all her sorority sisters deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Valera Lovelett; brothers, Elton (Gretchen) Lovelett; Norman Lovelett; and sister, Bonnie Lovelett. She is survived by husband, Walter Hayes; daughter, Kim (Jason) Cooper; grandchildren, Jesse, Taylor, Garrett and Jade; brother, Mike (Liz) Lovelett; sister-in-law, Linda Lovelett; nieces, Chris (Shawn) Delaney; Jennifer (Ralph) Cole; Stephanie Lovelett; nephew, Matthew Lovelett; niece, Terry (Sheldon) Padelio; Lisa (Rich) Pafford; nephew Scott (Becky) Lovelett; and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She had a way of making everyone feel happy and loved! Services will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2pm. Per the families request, please wear bright colors or flower patterns in celebration of Charlene\u0027s life. "

"A celebration of life for PATRICK "RICK" COTANT, 75, will be held 1pm Saturday December 2, 2023, at the Eastern Wyoming College Auditorium with Reverend Jeff Wayland officiating and Pastor Ty DesEnfants co-officiating. A "Cookies and Cokes for Cotant" reception will follow the service. A private family burial will take place prior to the celebration of life. Rick lost his battle with pancreatic cancer November 20, 2023, at home with his loving wife, Marilyn, by his side and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the "Coke's for Cotant" account located at Pinnacle Bank in Torrington. (Brower) Cotant on March 11, 1948, in Ft. Worth, TX. At approximately 1 1/2 years of age, just after he contracted polio in his legs, the family relocated to Scottsbluff, NE. They then moved to Gering, NE where he attended Gering Public Schools. He participated in numerous school activities, including Cross-Country, Track, and Football. He graduated in 1966, which was the first class to graduate from the new Gering High School. Rick married Marilyn Jean Lee of Mitchell, NE on December 27, 1968. In 1970, Rick graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies. He was drafted into the US Army, and served as a Personnel Clerk in Bitburg-Spangdahlem AF Bases and was honorably discharged in May of 1972. Rick became an Elementary PE Teacher in Gering, then in 1974 began teaching Social Studies at Gering High School for 13 years. Rick was the Head Girl's Basketball Coach (1 year), and the Head Track/Cross-Country Coach at GHS for 13 years. In August of 1984, Rick obtained a Master of Science in Education Administration from Chadron State College. Rick and Marilyn moved to Torrington, WY in 1986, and a year later he became the Assistant Principal at Torrington Middle School, where he worked with Principal, Marvin Haiman for a total of nearly 30 years. He retired from TMS in 2014, and worked as a substitute and interim Administrator/Teacher for GCSD#1 until June 2023. He was the Assistant Track/Cross-Country Coach at THS for 21 years, and the LFL Assistant Track Coach for 5 years. Rick's hobbies included collecting sports memorabilia, Coca Cola products, and various collectibles, including classic cars. Rick loved all sports, but particularly track and cross-country. Rick will be forever remembered as helpful, hard-working, kind, generous, and dependable. Survivors include Rick's wife, Marilyn Cotant; sons Casey (Kristi), Coeur d'Alene, ID and Brian (Becky), Buffalo, WY; grandchildren Landon, Camden \u0026amp; Logan, Coeur d'Alene, and Paxton \u0026amp; Kaelyn, Buffalo; Brother, Mike (Vonnie) Cotant, Gering, NE; Sisters-in-Law Idona, Overton, KY, Pam Cotant, FL, and Linda Cotant, IN. "Funeral services for ALMA GRACE SNYDER, 94, will be held at 2pm Friday, November 17, 2023 at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Bruce McBurney officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Grace passed away at her home on November 13, 2023 to rejoin her beloved husband of seventy-two years, Lewis. Grace was born November 23, 1928 in Port Lavaca, Texas the daughter of George and Lillian (Blalack) Barnett. She had five brothers and one sister. Because her father was a carpenter, the family moved quite frequently around the state of Texas. At age sixteen she went to work at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. She had the good fortune to meet Lewis Snyder, who was stationed at Fort Sam Houston. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1947. After Lewis got out of the army, they moved to eastern Nebraska, and later to the Torrington, Wyoming area. They lived for many years outside of Huntley where Lewis was a farmer and Grace was a homemaker taking care of their three daughters. After the family moved to town in late 1963, she worked at several places including JC Penney and Stroud's Grocery store. From 1970 to 1979, she and Lewis owned their grocery store in town, Snyder's Grocery. After they closed the store, she went to work at Torrington Beverage until she finally retired in the early 2000's. Always on the go, Grace was involved in many things, including, the VFW Auxiliary. She was a 4-H leader for years and later helped make bonnets at the Senior Friendship Center. She was an avid reader, she crocheted and loved watching football. Grace is survived by her sister Patsy of San Antonio, Texas; daughter Gail of Torrington; six grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and even more great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis; two daughters, Sandra and Karen; her parents; five brothers; one grandson; and one great grandson. "Show more

Guillermo was born November 8, 1969, in Torrington, Wyoming the son of Guillermo and Rita (Dominguez) Galvan. He grew up and lived his entire life in Torrington. In 1995, he married Claudia Romero and the couple had four beautiful children. Weekends with family was very important to him. Guillermo had worked at Holly Sugar since 1989. He not only was a dock operator there but an amazing mechanic. He was a hard worker, loved his children and his grandchildren, and his hobbies included rebuilding classic cars, boating, yardwork and listening to Spanish music. He is survived by his wife Claudia; sons, Jordan (Chavely) Galvan, Guillermo Galvan, III, and Gavino Galvan; daughter Alyssa Galvan; sisters, Christina (Ben) Morgan, Marlene Galvan, Charlene Galvan and Angela (Johne) Smith; brother Leo Galvan; two grandchildren, Gionni and Olivia and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended kindergarten through 12th grade in Lyman, Nebraska. She married Glen Stoeger on September 29, 1947. With three children born to this marriage Glenda, Charles and Dale. They were married until Glen's death in 1960. Norma later married Lawrence F. McClure in March of 1961, the two were married until his passing in 1996. She worked as a bookkeeper, office manager, village clerk and real estate agent. Norma received her certified municipal clerk in 1980. She wrote an article on use of computers for municipal governments that was published state, national and in league of municipalities in Australia. She was named village clerk of the state on Nebraska in 1984. She lived in Lyman, Sioux County and Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Also including Torrington. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church. Her biggest enjoyment was her family and their love devotion to her. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her many friends. Her best buddy was her dog, Bo. She is survived by her children; Glenda of Montezuma, Iowa, Charles (Deb) Stoeger of Torrington. Daughter in law Jackie Stoeger of Lyman. Five Grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son Dale and son in-law L.
