Joyce M. Causey, age 91, of Plano, Texas passed away on December 30, 2021. She was born on May 23, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louise Ory Morales and Ernest Morales. On November 22, 1952, Joyce married Francis B. Causey, Jr. in Marrero, Louisiana. Joyce worked at Biehl & Company as a Switchboard Operator/Secretary and was a homemaker. Joyce was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She loved her family, traveling the United States, and cruising over 30 times. One of her passions was crocheting, especially afgans and baby clothes; but her biggest passion was ballroom dancing with her beloved husband. Joyce is survived by her husband of 69 years, Francis B. Causey, Jr. ; her daughter, Cheryl Causey Jeanfreau and her husband, Louis of Houston, Texas; her son, Francis "Bryan" Causey, III and his wife, Melissa of Frisco, Texas; her two grandchildren, Louis Jeanfreau Jr. and his wife, Nicole, and Abby Causey; her two great-grandchildren, Sarah Jeanfreau and Gavin Jeanfreau; two siblings, Dorothy (Dot) Ingolia, Roger Morales and his wife, Diane. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Ernest Morales; two siblings, Ernest (Lou) Morales, Jr. and his wife, Lois, Alvin (Cutie) Morales and his wife, Grace; her brother-in-law, Ray Ingolia, Sr. A Memorial Mass will be held in the chapel at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75033 on Saturday, January 8, 2022, 1:00 p. m. Immediately after the memorial mass there will be a reception in Great Hall Side C. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 3600 Claire Ave, Gretna, Louisiana, 70053 on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, Louisiana 70568.
