"Kristi Maria Henderson, a beloved and devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2024, in Theodore, Alabama. She was born on January 12th, 1991, in Mobile County, Alabama to her loving parents Nona Maria Henderson and Kenneth Levoy Henderson. Kristi's life was defined by her unwavering love for her three sons - Matthew, Karsen and Mason Skipper. As a dedicated mother who always put her children first, Kristi could often be found cheering the loudest from the sidelines of the football field or supporting them in any way she could. Her infectious laugh and warm personality made it easy for her to connect with others; she never met a stranger. In addition to being an incredible mother, she was an unforgettable friend to many people in her recovery circle where she served as a mentor and cherished confidante. Kristi gave herself fully to the Lord when she was baptized at Lighthouse Church in Anniston Alabama. From that point on, she made it her life's mission to lead as many people as she could to the feet of Jesus. She was eager to share her testimony of redemption and transformation and believed wholeheartedly that everyone could change their lives the way she did if they would develop a personal relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the type to believe in you even when you didn't believe in yourself. She is preceded in death by her dear mother Nona Maria Henderson; paternal grandparents: John and Katie Henderson; Maternal grandparents: Carl and Nona Dixon. Kristi leaves behind fond memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her best: sons Matthew, Karsen and Mason Skipper; father, Kenneth Henderson; brothers, Kenny and Kevin Henderson (Sister-law Jennifer); as well as numerous extended family members and close friends whose lives were touched by Kristi's one of a kind and always joyful presence. The loss of Kristi has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence will be deeply felt within both personal circles of friends and family as well as within the larger community where she made such meaningful connections throughout her life. Details regarding services honoring Kristi are as follows: A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024, at Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore, AL. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens and will undoubtedly provide an opportunity for all those whose lives were touched by hers to come together in remembrance of this remarkable woman who brought so much light into their lives. May we find solace during this difficult time through our shared memories of Kristi Maria Henderson - a woman whose laughter filled rooms with joy and whose spirit continues to live on through each person fortunate enough to have known her. Please keep Kristi and her family in your prayers during this difficult time."
