Margaret L. Kirkman, 76, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on November 30, 2023, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on January 12, 1947, in Santa Monica, CA, to the late James Ralph Nye and Dorothy Ellen (Elson) Nye. After completing her education, she worked for several years in administration in aerospace development. Margaret met and later married her husband, Donald Ray Kirkman. Margaret loved watching her grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren grow.
Margaret also had many joys in life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, who loved the beach and looked forward to trips to Santa Monica and Venice beaches in California. She also enjoyed family history, watching Indy racing and cheering on her favorite driver Scott Dixon, and her favorite time of the year was Christmas. However, her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will all miss her very much.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Donald Kirkman; daughter, Michele White; son, Robert White III daughter-in-law, Michelle Saunders; her grandchildren, Anthony Sandoval, granddaughter-in-law, Loni Tyler, and Jose Sandoval; two great-grandchildren, Zye Sandoval and Kassey Sandoval; sisters, many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved corgi, Chipper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Alex White; as well as two siblings.
A private family service will be held at a later date and time, with interment to take place at Highland Cemetery in Fishers, IN.
